Scent Work workshops and courses with guest trainer Sophie from Wizz Dog Training are now LIVE on the booking page.

Please have a read of what we are offering before booking on. I know the excitement can get too much! Those of you who we had to reschedule from last Sunday, thanks to the storm, have already got the transferred spots you requested so you don't need to book unless you want to attend other sessions as well.

The following workshops will all be held at The Goodwill Hall, Wrexham Road, Nantwich CW5 8HY.

Saturdays - Bronze and Silver UK Sniffer Dog Courses - these are 3 part courses and to complete the course you will need to attend all three dates. The courses are £120 for the three 2 hour workshops. Five spots available on each course. You must have completed the Bronze course before starting Silver. We are planning on offering Gold later in 2025.

Sundays - Beginners and Intermediate Scent Detection workshops working on indication, line handling, reading your dog etc, Dogs can be on any scent or can be complete newbies. These are stand alone workshops and will be £40 a spot, as they were in 2024. Five spots available at each workshop.

Saturday 11th January

10-12noon Bronze UK Sniffer Dog Course -Workshop 1

1-3pm Silver UK Sniffer Dog Course - Workshop 1

Sunday 12th January

10-12noon - Intermediate Group for dogs that have already started scent work.

1-3pm - Beginners Group for complete beginners and recently started.

Saturday 25th January

10-12noon Bronze UK Sniffer Dog Course -Workshop 2

1-3pm Silver UK Sniffer Dog Course - Workshop 2

Sunday 26th January

10-12noon - Intermediate Group for dogs that have already started scent work.

1-3pm - Beginners Group for complete beginners and recently started.

Saturday 8th February

10-12noon Bronze UK Sniffer Dog Course -Workshop 3

1-3pm Silver UK Sniffer Dog Course - Workshop 3

Sunday 9th February

10-12noon - Intermediate Group for dogs that have already started scent work.

1-3pm - Beginners Group for complete beginners and recently started.

Lovely to see Ben and Rachel for a follow up 1-1 this morning. They have been working on coping with the distraction of other dogs. Today we used Meg again as stooge dog and Ben practiced keeping engagement with his mum thru play. As this was going well we increased the challenge by having Meg running and playing at the same time. Well done Ben for keeping focused. We finished the session with a few movement puzzles. Thanks Meg for stepping into Mollies shoes as stooge dog. ❤️🐾❤️

Exciting 2025 scent work plans !

The fabulous Sophie from Wizz Dog Training will be coming to Dog Confidence in January and February to run the Bronze and Silver UK Sniffer Dogs awards as well as scent detection skills sessions covering indication, body language, line handling and vehicle searches etc. Details to follow.

These sessions will be on the booking page from next week.

These are trials NOT workshops.

We are running Instinct and Novice classes in the morning and afternoon sessions so you can pick what you would like to enter.
