**Update… we raised $225 dollars. Thank you to those that donated! ❤️

Our fundraising goal is $2500. That amount roughly covers two months of food for the pups. We hope to meet or exceed that goal to offset the extreme vet bills we have incurred in the last couple of months. (7 spays/neuters, a dental with extractions, one pup with chronic bronchitis, another has started having seizures and we are trying to get under control, and more 😕) That can easily be done if each of our followers were able to donate $5-$10 but even a single dollar can help. And as always… if you are not able to donate, we are always in need of fosters and volunteers! Or simply just share this post. 🐶❤️

Signups for the December Spay/Neuter clinics start this Saturday 11/23/24 at 3 pm.
All the details and restrictions can be found on the flyer.

Clinics are open to all Unincorporated Residents, Tehachapi, and Arvin Residents for the $20 co-pay per pet.
If you are Unincorporated and in 93305, 93306, 93307, 93308 there is no co-pay required.

Take a photo of your pet and proof of address before filling out the application, you will need to upload both to the application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

The pups are never happy on spay/neuter day. 😕 But, we are! We know that they will never be able to contribute to the pet overpopulation crisis. All seven of our Marvel litter is still with us and only one has a pending application. 😩 They are now six months old, all between 30 & 45lbs, altered, vaccinated, and microchipped. All they need is a forever home. ❤️

This is an X-ray of a dog’s bent front leg. See that tiny white spec? That’s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg....far from where it was inserted, between the dog’s shoulders. This is actually quite common.....

When lost pets are scanned, the entire body should be scanned to catch any that have migrated. But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that:

(1) the chip is still working,
(2) the location of the chip is good,
(3) that the chip info is correct,
(4) you’ve actually REGISTERED your chip (with the chip company) and it’s current and active.

Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet.... just have it checked regularly!

We will be at Self Serve Pet Spa 7950 White Lane Unit A from 10:00-2:00 this Saturday the 28th with some of our available pups. Come find your new family member and stock up on your pet’s essentials at your local pet spa and supply.
