Many have been with us long term because of the difficulty finding the special person who is willing to take on a bit of a challenge but they are no less deserving of a home than anyone else in our care. Like many rescues, our adoptions and donations have dropped off significantly this past year. We are a small rescue trying to do our part to help alleviate the overpopulation crisis in Kern County. We currently have 54 dogs in our care and need help to offset some of the major medical expenses we have had recently. Aside from the usual expenses such as exams, spay and neuter, and vaccines, we have been treating one dog with a sudden onset of extreme seizures. Another required a hospital stay to treat Pancreatitis (nearly $3000). And now we have a young one-year-old who has been diagnosed with Hip Displaysia (both hips) and we have yet to find out what the cost of surgery will be for him. We simply cannot do this alone. We need assistance from the community to help us continue helping as many as we can.

January 16th 2025 - North Meadows Park in Oildale on Day & McCray.
Arrive at 8:30am with your pet.
Dogs must be on a leash and cats MUST be in a small hard plastic carrier.
You will be billed $20 at a later date to cover the cost of surgery and vaccinations.
Pain Meds $5 & Recovery Cone $5 are recommended and can be purchased at clinic via cash, card or Venmo.

We were able to bring Ronnie home from the hospital today! 🙏❤️ While she still has a couple more weeks of meds and treatment, She is feeling much better and acting like herself again and so very happy to be back at the facility. Although the total for her stay came in a good amount below the original $4000-$5000 estimate, we are still out an unexpected $2858. 😕 We have received $25 towards offsetting this expense. HELP!! 🙏 I had to take Ronnie to emergency today. Turns out that she has a nasty case of pancreatitis. 😕 I just left her… She is going to be hospitalized for two days minimum and the estimate for care is between $4000 and $5200. Cammy is missing after last night. We have no idea how she got out but she is gone. I am out actively looking for her and hanging flyers. I have posted her everywhere I can think of. The shelters are closed until tomorrow. 😩 She went missing near Norris Road and Roberts Lane in Oildale. Please share and spread the word. Help us get her home safe! 🙏
