So there are a lot of very experienced people behind the scenes here at CASC, so instead of random facts and stuff I spotted, let's make use of all that knowledge. So this is your chance to ask questions, be it about small mammals, reptiles, fish, birds, and more.
It can be health or care related, information about particular species, or what goes on at each of the member organisations. Ask your questions on this post, or drop me a message. Don't worry we won't be using your name if you don't want us to.

Occasionally things happen at work that shock and awe. Including, one of our Bearded dragons EATING AN ELECTRICAL PROBE FROM A THERMOSTAT!

He was immediately taken to a vet for surgery and is recovering well. Naturally, I've fallen in love with him. Such Beardie chaos energy. I've linked the original post in the comments!

Rumours are flying, the main one being that the Doncaster IHS breeders meetings are over. The animal rights have won, and the the IHS is going quietly away.
Yeah that's not happening. the breeders meeting are just changing venue, away from Doncaster, taking thousands of visitors and their money away from business in Doncaster.
But the Animal Rights crowd are seeing it as a victory, they are so wrong. A change of venue is a big of hassle, not a major loss to the IHS. They, the animal rights lot, will be getting lots of lovely donations over this fake victory.
The councils that are all over twitter bragging about how they helped this to happen, they need to be reminded that they represent the people, and a lot of us have pets. People of Doncaster, do you want them to be banning your pets one sneaky rule change at a time?

🔥06/01/2021 .
Yesterday evening fire crews from Corby were called to a fire in living room caused by a reptile mat - one of the occupants couldn't wait to be rescued and jumped to safety to hitch a ride out!!

👨🏼‍🚒 Watch Commander Lane commented
“This job has some highs and lows, but this was the funniest thing I’ve seen so far”

💦 The fire was extinguished quickly and no other resident required rescuing .

Thought some of you might enjoy one of my videos, I'm pretty new to YouTube, although I've done a few live streams for the parent group its not quite the same. I have also been podcasting for 3yrs or more now, so I thought I'd put some of my audio and video skills and equipment to good use :D
Do let me have your feedback, good, bad or ugly :D and Yes! I know I have a face for radio and not TV :)

Meet Bubbles, our first spotlight animal of the week!
Bubbles is a common Musk Turtle (Sternotherus odoratus).
Musk turtles are a ideal species for those looking to care for their first turtle. They were the 5th most common animal that we took in last year, so there are always plenty of them looking for a home!

Giant Croc Found On The Streets Of Liverpool

According to some newspapers, a giant croc was abandoned by its uncaring owners, the jury is out if they killed it first or left it to die from cold.
Erm, slight issue, it's full of straw, no organs, no blood, no guts, nothing. Just straw. If that wasn't a big enough hint there is a tag on its front leg.
Is this what we've sunk to, a stuffed crocodile is now being held up as an example of uncaring pet owners.
I have a favour to ask, can you share this post. Make sure that people know that the media is using this as evidence against reptile keepers. Let's not let the lies stand unchallenged.
