Attention!
As a amall business trying to survive in an industry that seems to be popping up on every corner, i am reliant on my loyal clients, people sticking to their appointments, being on time esspecially first groom of the day. I no longer work weekends on a regular basis although i have less than a handful that i will do a weekend day for. These are clients who have been with me for a long time. So with that being said obviously i have no weekend slots available. I will no longer sit half the day on clients who in the end just dont show up. If your going to be late a message would be polite same goes for not turning up. All clients are given a schedule suitable to that particular dog. Every clients schedule is unique therefore going maybe 2 weeks over then expect me to work miracles with a matted coat is not possible. I think there are some pet owners who are quite naive and they dont actually understand how much work goes into they're furbabies. The blood sweat and tears because every dog is not a bundle of fun sadly.
So maybe think carefully next time when you say "och its only a groom ill get it done in a couple of weeks". Its not 'only' a groom. You are given a schedule for a reason. When a groomer who has been involved in the canine industry for a long time tells you that your pooch needs to be on a 6 week or a 4 week schedule, or whatever time scale you are given, then the opinion is through knowledge and experience of working through the years with just about every breed, cross breed you can think of.
Going forward i will only accept scheduled dogs on regular schedules. You will be given your next appointment when you collect your dog and will receive a reminder 3 days before.
