Ok guys! The wait is over! [see previous post]
Please help me welcome Xola and Xara [pronounced Zola and Zara] to the family! As I said before, Standard Poodles will always have a place on our hearts and will always be apart of our lives but we truly feel that French Bulldogs are a better fit for our family. So many of you guys guessed it too lol! We are forever grateful for your encouragement and support and we’re super excited to have you all along for our new journey!

Who’s who? Xola is the lilac and tan chunky butt and Xara is the tiny, feisty little lilac and tan/cream merle.

Age: 9 weeks (born September 16)

Hey, Family! Are any of you still here?! 👀❤️ You guys have been asking and asking about the future of my program and I’ve been avoiding and avoiding because I honestly didn’t have an answer to give. Party because I wasn’t sure exactly what I needed to do and partly because I was afraid of how you guys would feel about my ultimate decision.

Ok now, with all that being said, what are we going to do? Answer: We’ve decided that Standard Poodles are no longer the best breed for us. I understand that so many of you are almost as invested in my program as the people in my household are so I get that some of you may be sad or even a bit disappointed, and I truly hate that because I truly care, but in the end, I had to evaluate things and make the best decision for my family: for my husband, for my kids, for my fur babies, and for ME!

All of us absolutely LOVE everything Poodles but we know another breed would fit our lifestyle better so we are going to change the direction of our program completely so all of our beautiful Spoos have been placed with families/breeders better suited for each of their individual needs. Now even though we no longer have Standards, we still plan to whelp a few litters from some of our past KōL Hearted Poodle girls and we couldn’t be more excited about that!

If you have processed all of this and you trust that I really did make the best decision for my family AND my fur babies, I would absolutely love for you to stick around for this next phase! I pray that you all learn to love our future babies the way you loved our Standards and that you will continue to support and encourage me on this new journey.

Now let’s have some fun!! What breed do you think we’re “switching” to now? Y’all know I loooove a good guessing game and I’m super excited to see what you think! 💭🐾

Happy New Year family! I’ve been locked out of my account for over a month and I almost gave up but I’M BAAAAACK! 🥳. The end of the year was very rough for my business (with cyber bullying, hacking, and a few violated contracts) but I’m claiming nothing but LOVE, SUPPORT, and POSITIVITY going forward! I’m sure you miss ALL OF US (my 4-legged babies and my 2-legged babies too) and we miss you guys too. We’re back and we’re here to stay!

You guys, Ali has brought me more unexpected, inexplicable joy than I ever could have imagined and I’m so glad Darnell put his foot down about this one. 😂😍

Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love, concern, and support for Karmel. Most of you guys have been here since before he was born and I know you love all of these babies like they’re your own so I wanted to make sure I let you all know that his procedures went well and he’s at home, on the road to recovery. I have received countless messages asking me how he was doing and it just warms my heart. Thanks for being so awesome!! 🤗❤️

**I would also like to let you guys know that Asher’s sister, Piper Grace, had the same procedures (spay and gastropexy) and she, too, is back home and doing well. She may not have been bred by me but she became part of the KōL Hearted Poodle Family when Kyle and Larry adopted Asher! We’re celebrating and thanking God that she’s doing well too! 🐩🐾

“Please say a little prayer for KōL Hearted Karmel by The Hidden Inland Sea (Karmel), who was just delivered to our vet this morning to have the neuter procedure and gastropexy done. It was so hard to leave him even though we know that he’s in good hands with Dr Benson and her staff. His big brother is already looking for him!”

If you are in our private group (The KōL Hearted Poodle Family) then you know he’s “naked” now but this is one of my favorite pics of him and I just realized I hadn’t shared it with you guys. Please send up some prayers for our handsome little guys and while you’re at it, send one up for his mom and dad, too! ❤️❤️❤️

*A gastropexy is a procedure used to prevent stomach bloat, a common condition in large breed dogs. Just an FYI.

I have always had the biggest fear of walking over storm drains so I have never done it. Like EVER! It really wasn’t a big deal to me or something I ever felt like I needed to conquer bc... well why 🤷🏽‍♀️?!

Anywho, I realized today that Dahj instinctually had the exact same fear but when I saw my usually fearless baby freeze up and start backpedaling, I had to pull my cape out 🦸🏽‍♀️ and show him that WE had nothing to fear.

I explained to him what the drain was for and explained to him that it’s a genius idea to have them so that we don’t have to “swim” 🏊🏽‍♀️🏊🏽‍♂️ across the parking lot. Well apparently he thought that would actually be pretty cool and now he keeps asking if we can go to the pool. 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

Anyway guys, we both took a deep breath, held hands and... LOOK! 🤩🤩🤩
My anxiety tried to get me but the smile on his face took all of that away and you can’t see my face but I was smiling just as hard as he was! 😁😁😁

I went to the salon to get my hair done today and guess who was there, being a perfect little angel❓
❤️BATTLE❤️ That’s who❣️ Here he is, relaxing under the feet of a complete stranger while she gets her hair washed. 🥰

You guys, I am absolutely amazed that his mom (Tammi) is able to bring him to work with her everyday without having to watch him like a hawk at just 3 months old! She has been telling me how great he’s doing but today, I was there for 6 hours and I saw it live!! This boy greeted all of the clients as they came in but he didn’t jump, bark, or do ANYTHING he wasn’t supposed to do. He just hung out, played with his toys, and took a bunch of naps lol

Wow. Just wow! I am soooo proud! ❤️❤️❤️

2 years ago today, I did the “big chop” and my husband cut all of my hair off (even though he was TOTALLY against it). This journey has been INTERESTING, to say the least, but I am soooo excited about my progress!
I got a professional silk press for the first time today to celebrate this milestone (and it’s sooooo pretty 🤩) but I had to show you this selfie from last night first (I just blow dried and curled it)! Stay tuned... ☺️

Don’t you just love dog friendly places?! We go to The Home Depot at least 3x a week for one thing or another and 99% of the time, we take one or two of our fur babies with us. We still have to social distance of course, but it’s good for them to get some kind of socialization in whenever we can, even if it’s just seeing new faces and saying hi.
Nothing special happened in this video, just wanted to share some “Ali and PawPaw” bonding time with you. He’s such a good boy! 🐩🐾💙

Spoiled. Rotten! It was a pretty quick visit but you would think they were separated for at least a week! 🤦🏽‍♀️🙄😂
In other news, both of my babies had full work ups and they each received an excellent bill of health! Now we’re all stocked up on heartworm preventative for 2021! 🎉

In 2016, Darnell and I went to California for our anniversary and God sent us back with a little souvenir 🤰🏽. Even better than that, he gave him to us just in time for Christmas!

Bronze just got her 4th and final round of vaccinations and I’m super excited about it bc that means we can finally go out in public next week! I absolutely cannot wait to take her for a walk, to the park, to the trail, to PetSmart.... just EVERYWHERE! 😍🤩

🚨Ok guys! It’s official! 💙Ali has been adopted! 🎉
Here’s the best part... he now officially belongs to Darnell, Sr.! 😍🎉🥂

There has been MUUUUCH debate in my household for the past few weeks about Ali’s future but all you have to do is watch him and Darnell together for 5 minutes and you would understand why you have to be cruel and heartless to separate them. Their relationship is the most beautiful thing to watch and I think they’ve grown even closer over the past few weeks (Darnell started clinging to him even more when I was considering placing him in a guardian home lol).

Ali is already such an amazing little fellow! He’s only 11 months and he’s already 100% housebroken! Crate training is easy but I love the fact that I can leave him out unattended without having to worry about him chewing, scratching, or misbehaving at all. He’s much better inside than my youngest sons 😩😂! He’s also has a great size and build... 45 lbs of pure muscle and agility. The most important part is that he has, by far, the most amazing temperament of ANY dog I’ve ever had. I guess he’s not officially “mine,” as Darnell refuses to let me be listed on his paperwork as a co-owner (still debating this one 🙄) but he has agreed to let me use him for stud services in the future. He has some nerve! 🤦🏽‍♀️🙄😂

Anywho... please congratulate Ali on “finding” his forever home, the home he was born in! Also, please welcome Darnell to the in a whole new capacity!! 😆🎉

Quick Chick-fil-A run with my fav girl! Our “friends” at our local store know my van so they always run over to see if I have any of my babies in the car... 2 legged or 4, they don’t care... and they always greet us with lots of love and a smile!! 😁🥰
