Pet poison line, always good to have stored on your phone.
While we do our best to avoid them eating unsafe things it’s better to seek expert advice as soon as possible.
Every now and again posts pop up in pet owner forums seeking advice and help after an animal eats something that may be toxic.
While often well-meaning, occasionally the advise given isn't factual and can become dangerous.
I thought I'd just pop a reminder up that this service for the general public in the UK (run by veterinary toxicology teams) is available 24hours a day.
I am in no way affiliated, but frequently work in out of hours veterinary medicine as a nurse and sadly, well meaning advice has recently caused fatalities.
