It’s your lucky day! We have not one, but two very sweet and affectionate kitties who want you to become their furever home!

💖Tippy came to us thin, injured and unable to walk. After many weeks of TLC from our caring and dedicated doctors, she’s a whole new girl who is better than ever. She is a ball of soft sweetness who loves to be loved and have you play with her with her toys.

💖Doppel is the epitome of a cool cat. She is a very talkative and affectionate, yet has a laid back personality. She loves to be cradled like a baby and stare longingly into your eyes as you shower her with love.

🐾Both of these lovely ladies are Spayed, Microchipped, up to date on vaccines, had clean blood work, are FIV/FeLV negative and are parasite free.

Please consider adopting today!

So I get requests all the time from people asking me to take their cats. Usually for unnecessary reasons like moving or being pregnant (to them I say no, take care of the commitment you made when you adopted). Today, however, I got a request from someone asking me to take their cat because they are living in a truck together and she’s worried the cold may be too much for him. Unfortunately I am not in a position to take any cats right now but I am also concerned about this person’s well being too. Does anyone know of any resources I can direct her to to help her not live in a truck in this weather and is anyone interested in a cat???

Agnes wandered into our yard, walked up to my husband and cried for help. She was whisked to the vet because of her overwhelmingly obvious poor condition. She has been at the vet since 9/22. It’s a holiday miracle here at the shelter! After 7 long years of waiting, shy little Winnie has gone to her furever home! Winnie was trapped when she was about 6 months old out of a dumpster at a pay by the week motel. She was very shy and fearful but adoptable. The day we caught her a lovely young lady, who had previously adopted from us, tagged along to see what trapping was like. She was immediately smitten with Winnie but wasn’t in a position to take on another cat at the time. Well, after 7 years she never forgot about Winnie and decided the time was right to bring her home for good! We are so happy for you Winnie and thank you Carolyn for finally making her your own! ❤️❤️❤️

Precious the love bug.

My husband was nominated to do the ice bucket challenge, but since we're a not for profit ourselves he decided to do a twist on it to represent our cause.

We are truly in need of a foster home (or adoption) of our diabetic cat King. Due to his diabete's need for a special diet, he is the only cat in the shelter that needs to be caged. Because of this he doesn't get the freedom and exercise that he really needs and has suffered some muscle wasting. We have had him since July and he's spent the majority of that time in a cage. He deserves more than what we can give him in the shelter setting. If you or someone you know may be interested in sharing your heart and home with him please let me know. He does need to be fed a special canned food and does require very simple to give insulin shots. As you can see from this video he LOVES to be brushed and is a total lap cat when given the chance.

Our very special "special needs" kitty Ginger has found her furever home!

Update on our special little Fancy girl: she is healing better than expect and we couldn't be happier! Here's a video of her being her cute, happy little kitten self. She is just a spectacular little girl! Thank you again Dr. Fairlie for saving her life and for giving her a chance when others might not have!

Meet Ginger! Ginger has severely deformed front legs and abnormal hind feet. Each front leg is smaller than it should be and are curved inward like a crescent. She is missing toes and the toes she has aren't in the right position. Her back feet look larger, as if she has extra toes, but does not. She actually walks on her wrists. She was found living under a trailer in Lake Katrine. She is about 8-10 months old and is still going through the process of her medical work up. Even with her handicap she seems to get around well and is a complete love bug as you can see in this video.
