Beautiful

If you watch a dog trainer train, it's slow, boring and repetitive.

Yes it can be fast and dynamic. But that comes after the slow, repetitive foundation is in place.

A lot of people want to get to the fast, dynamic stuff, but without the slow, steady and repetitive foundation it just falls apart.

You trip over yourself.

You confuse your dog.

You end up having to go back and revisit foundations over and over and over.

Which ends up being a lot slower than if you actually took your time at the beginning.

I say to clients: "slow down to speed up" and this week I heard another version: "slow is fast"

Yes I don't want to do the slow, boring work either... but to get where I want to go, I've learned to focus on that stuff because it pays 10x in every aspect of training.
