Cats may differ from one to another by look, by personality and even by how do we care for them.
A white coat in general needs extra care to ensure the look will be pristine. There are alot of factor/s that leads to stains (health, stress, diet, cleanliness of litter box, where the cat is kept, etc)
This odd eyed white munchkin came to us for his monthly grooming. His eye were badly stain from the tear stain and around his back, the stains from urine can be seen (normal scenario on a white male cat). He is the type of cat who is not really fond of blow drying and sometimes may even attack the cat blower.
So, what we did as a groomer is to find initiative to correct/alter the behaviour by stimulating the brain. This initiative is very crucial for both the cat and the groomer. We needed to minimise all sorts of risk (stress, bite etc) by understanding the cat body and
creating a better energy.
We are using the two step shampoo aplication for this grooming
1. degrease shampoo
2. whitening shampoo
3. texturising shampoo
As for the eye stains, we are using the technique of cleaning the coat around the eyes with a cotton ball / cloth that has been soaked in a warm water. we do this very gently ensuring that the coat around the eyes are clean. NEVER use the same cotton ball/cloth to wipe the other eye as it may be contaminated. Once the coat is dry and free from any stains, we apply a special made powder to be applied around it (this product will be on sale soon)
For the tail and ball sacks , we are using our very old formula that we learnt when we used to show our cats back then. This formula was shared to us by a very good breeder friend to remove stains without having to stress the
coat and skin as well as the keepers.
One thing that we like to highlight.
NEVER rush when grooming a cat. Treat them with respect and they will repay you.
