Dog CPR
How to perform Dog CPR
Not the greatest quality, but Cooper doing the walk, climb and table!
It always makes my day when my students text me things like this!
“I know we have training tomorrow but I'm just so proud of Remy that I had to share. I never thought I'd be able to walk him in a park full of dogs without a reaction but this is the second week in a row that I've been able to walk him without one reaction!! We aren't perfect by any means but I'm so excited and can't believe that something as simple as the right tools and direction got us here. Just wanted to thank you and look forward to tomorrow!”
Great job Remy!
Don’t forgot to MENTALLY tire your dog out!
I see way too many people just trying to get thru their dogs walk to physically tire the dog, but fail to mentally tire their dogs. At that point they are just building an athlete.
Dogs need to spend time exploring their environment, and don’t always like to walk right beside us.
*But please remember having an off leash dog is a privilege.
It also a HUGE saftey risk if you let an unreliable dog off leash. If your dog cannot listen to a recall the first time you ask them, then they should not be off leash. All it takes is for your dog not to listen once, to cost them their life.
How do you train your dog to become reliable? Come to Willow Creek Dog Training to learn how!
In the video Nina Listens to
1. Let’s Go / We are moving
(Voluntarily checks in)
2. Plotz / Automatic Down
3. Recall
4. Staying with Me
5. Sit
(Waits for permission)
6. Check It Out / Go sniff
I always throw in these commands throughout the walk to for more practice.
Nina has been fully introduced to the E-Collar.
The E-Collar is NOT a magic wand that will effortlessly make your dog listen to you. There is the easy way and then there’s the proper way of introducing the E-Collar.
Please call or text 770-625-1521 to setup an E-Collar Private Lesson where you will learn how to properly use an E-Collar, and have your dog off leash safely. (Until then, use your long leashes!)

Training + Consistency = A Happy Dog
Training has allowed Nina to earn the privilege of being off leash at the Beach.
Please never let your unreliable dog(s) loose at a Public Area. Not only for the respect of others, but the safety of your dog as well.
Nina and I have been working on recalls since she was 8 weeks old. As well as started E-Collar Training when she was 5 months old. I use it as a way to communicate with my dog, but you must know how to use it properly before ever using it. It is not a magic wand that will automatically make your dog start listening to you.
If you want to enjoy having your dog off leash at the beach, contact me and we can discuss if the E-Collar would be right for you and your dog!
