Yesterday we got side tracked at Show Team day. About how long each of the girls has been riding with me.

💖 For Eden either we are at 10 years or almost there 😭 it’s so crazy watching these kiddos grow up.

🚙 Their journeys are unique some stall, some have hills and valleys and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

🥝 Kiwi was in 4th grade and she’s a senior now!

👯‍♀️ I’m pretty sure Kinzi was in preschool which makes it 6 years for her and Calli!

Show me those littles who aren’t little anymore ⬇️

Have you met the Bling Pony. 😈 this stuff has saved her! It starts getting nasty hot and boom we stop sweating. Not fun for us or the pony girl. But check this out if you have one struggling ⬇️

𝙇𝙚𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙝𝙞𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙨.

It is common to think of anhidrosis when it’s hot and humid outside. When your horses are dealing with aggressive insects, miserable temps, and all the other factors that come along with the hot months.

The most common side effect to anhidrosis is the inability to sweat. Non-sweating occurs due to the factors listed above compromising the horse’s ability to thermoregulate. Not only is the inability to thermoregulate and sweat a common side effect, so is high respiratory rates, fatigue, and poor skin and coat health.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙀𝙋 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥?

Our CEP Pure Sweat was designed specifically for horses that are affected by Anhidrosis. The blend of ingredients in our CEP Pure Sweat assists by pulling heat from the body, supporting the spleen, relieving labored breathing, and provides the horse’s body with a high amount of antioxidants.

We recommend our CEP Pure Sweat be used along side our CEP Daily Lung when dealing with Anhidrosis. These two products work together to help balance the horse’s respiratory, adrenal, and nervous systems.

Things I think EVERY BEGINNER BARREL RACER SHOULD HEAR:

1. If the horse isn’t working or it’s keeping you from growing, it is okay to sell it. Horses are stepping stones. Every horse has something to teach us. Every ride is different, every horse is different.

2. A good farrier is important, cheap isn’t saving you money. What you don’t spend on the farrier, you’ll spend on the vet.

3. Have a good performance vet on your side, the simple shots and coggins vet isn’t going to cut it.

4. A broke horse is a great horse. Teach your horse to do more than just turn circles.

5. You’re as much as an athlete as your horse. Treat yourself like one.

6. Don’t let small minded friends keep you from your goals. Don’t let others opinions keep you from growing.

7. If someone hauls you and your horse, or lends you a horse. Say thank you, return the favor. Buy them a drink, pitch in for fuel, or buy them dinner. It goes a long way!

8. Negativity shouldn’t be allowed in the truck. Positive vibes only.

9. Find a mentor, someone who isn’t afraid to tell you the truth when you need it and don’t want to hear it.

10. Believe in yourself: Have faith in your own capabilities and believe that you can do what you put your mind to.

11. Start before you’re ready. But also know it’s not always Unicorns and Rainbows. Be ok with having bad days.

12. Allow your self patience. Give yourself room to make mistakes, understand what isn't working, and make it better. Give yourself Grace.

13. Let your passion be greater than your fear.
Grit is passion and perseverance for very long-term goals.

STRESS CHECK IS CURRENTLY ON SALE! $39 FOR 8 DOSES!

CEP Stress-Check: A pre performance paste that helps aid in the horse’s gastric system and performance stress.
CEP Stress Check has the same properties of CEP Gut Check but is made into a thicker form for in times of stress/hauling or for a more anxious horse that may need more assistance due to producing more stomach acid from stress/hauling/ competition.
Best to give 3-5 hours out of competition or hauling.
$50 for 8-10cc doses

Ingredients for Stress Check:
Glyceryl Wheat Bran, Wheat Protein, Apple Flavor, Flaxseed Oil, Colloidal Silver, Glycerin, Benzoic Acid

28/06/2024

🧘‍♀️ CEP Gear Down Paste is recommended for horses that need this type of assistance while competing/hauling rather than on a daily basis.
🧘‍♀️ Gear Down is best given 3-5 hours before exercise or before you go to warm up your horse to compete. It is very important that the paste has fully kicked in before asking your horse to increase their heart rate during warmup. This can cause the paste to not work or not work as well.
$39 for an 8 dose tube --1 dose is 10cc

Ingredients for GEAR DOWN PASTE:

Valerian Root, Chamomile, Peppermint, Yam, Raspberry Leaf, Milk Thistle, Ashwagandha Root, Passion Flower, Ginger, Glycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Apple Flavor

🧘‍♀️ Valerian Root may help reduce anxiety and reduce hyperactive behavior in a horse. It works by increases the amount of a chemical called gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA helps regulate nerve cells and has a calming effect on anxiety.

🧘‍♀️ Chamomile may help with anxiety, and gastrointestinal conditions such as upset stomach, gas, and diarrhea. Chamomile can be a calmer/ sedative. The effects may be due to the flavonoid, apigenin that binds to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain.

🧘‍♀️ Peppermint may help soothe an upset stomach or to aid digestion. It has a calming and numbing effect, and is often used to treat headaches, nausea, diarrhea, menstrual cramps, flatulence, and anxiety.

🧘‍♀️ Yam are a great source of fiber, potassium, manganese, copper, and antioxidants. It can help soothe nausea, calm nervous excitability, and relax spasms. Yams contain a unique compound called diosgenin, which has been found to promote neuron growth and enhance brain function. The outer bark of the wild yam root is rich in a compound called saponin. Saponins may help fight inflammation. Thus, yams may combat inflammation and help relax the body.

🧘‍♀️ Raspberry Leaf can modulate serotonin activity, thus producing a calming effect.

🧘‍♀️ Milk Thistle can help by preventing oxidative stress.

🧘‍♀️ Ashwagandha Root is perhaps best known for its stress-relieving properties. Being a powerful adaptogen, it enhances the body's resilience to stress. Ashwagandha improves the body's defense against disease by improving the cell-mediated immunity. It also possesses potent antioxidant properties that help protect against cellular damage caused by free radicals.

🧘‍♀️ Passion flower was used traditionally in the Americas and later in Europe as a calming herb for anxiety, insomnia, seizures, and hysteria. It is still used today to treat anxiety and insomnia. It works by increasing levels of a chemical called gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA lowers the activity of some brain cells, making the horse feel more relaxed.

🧘‍♀️ Ginger increases the level of two of the most important mood-boosting neurotransmitters, serotonin and dopamine. Ginger warms the stomach and is a tonic for the digestive system. It also has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antibacterial properties that aid in healing stomach ailments.

Calli and Shiney 💖

Not the picture I would have loved to use, but also trying to stay alive 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️

A year and half of doing NBHA and first state show. These two have been crushing their goals and taking names along the way. Solid 5D last year and cruising up the ladder this year.

4 clean runs last week with a fast time and some money round two to clinch a finals run and just outta the money for Youth.

Now they rest, regroup and take on Youth World in a month!
