🎯 HOME SEWERS NEEDED 📣

We're still going to do our once a month Comforter Making Event. Besides that, I can't do all the sewing myself 😂. I need 1 or 2 people that live decently close to 610 East (Houston Port 77029). Fleece & polyester batting is already cut to size. Cage Comforters come on Sm, Med, LG & XL. I prefer these to be returned back to me within 7 days.

🧵 WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
You may be doing all of these steps or just some of them. ➡️➡️ You'll be sewing "pouches" with an opening on one side. Trim the corners then turn the pouches right side out, put 1 layer of pre-cut polyester batting inside then sew shut. Next step is to sew all around the edge. Then sew a grid pattern on top to hold the batting in place during washing, etc. VERY EASY TO DO.

🎯➡️ If you have a Walking/ Even Feed Foot, that's even better.

🎯 Home sewers needed

We're still going to do our once a month Comforter Making Event. But until our Match Event, I can't do all the sewing myself 😂. You'll be sewing "pouches" with an opening on one side, so we can turn them right side out before stuffing. Very easy to do. Fleece is already cut to size. I prefer these to be returned back to me within 2-3 days.

🎯➡️ If you have a Walking/ Even Feed Foot, let me know. You can do the final step after the Cage Comforters are stuffed with batting.

🎯 WE HAVE OUR FIRST ANIMAL SHELTER CHOSEN! I'm waiting for them to let me know how many in each size they need. It's a small Shelter with 18 kennels. They only care for dogs & puppies.

Hey Yall! THIS post is to *SHOW YOU* why I started Houston Cage Comforters AND HOW YOU CAN HELP‼️ Animals in the Greater Houston Shelters need our help 😞😭. Some Shelters have 0️⃣ - low budget/funding for bedding. Sometimes a Shelter either doesn't get many donations of bedding or NO donations at all 😞.

👁️‍🗨️ I'VE SEEN WITH MY OWN EYES: 👁️‍🗨️
* Cats sleeping on newspaper. That can't be comfortable.
* Dogs sleeping on cold hard concrete. That's got to be miserable. Especially if you have joint pain/arthritis, broken bones, body pain, etc.
* Dogs sleeping on a thin worn out towel, thin sheet or a thin pillow case. Again, not comfortable. Especially if you have body pain.
* Dogs having a crumpled up towel, sheet, etc that they can't spread out themselves (some pictures attached).

We're just getting started with making Cage Comforters. We will make Cage Comforters once a month to start with. They'll be made in 3 sizes (SM, Med & Lg).

Hey Yall! I'm still trying to nail down a February Date for our first Cage Comforter Making Event that Best Friends of Houston will be hosting. Friday nights 6-9pm seem to be best for their employees because they're so busy on weekends with Adoption Events, etc.

We had so much fun at last Friday night's Sewcial at Best Friends Houston for Best Friends Volunteers. We made cage mats/crate liners for their foster pets and TNR trap covers. We're planning a February date.

* I love both dogs and cats. But I'm a cat person.
* I have an Identical Twin Sister.
* We grew up taking in dogs & cats from the streets.
* At the age of 5 I learned how to cook breakfast, and on a gas stove. It was eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, fried potatoes & homemade gravy.
* I don't have children.
