‘The appearance of roe deer changes throughout the year. They have bright red-brown fur in summer, fading to a duller shade of brown in winter. Adult males, known as bucks, have small antlers with up to three points which they shed and regrow each year.’

Brian’s first wee set of antlers are splitting into first 2 points 🦌

Hey everyone! 👋🏼

is getting way too famous now so I feel he deserves his own page where everyone can keep up with his antics!

For those who don’t know… Brian is a wee buck that we rescued after his mum was killed. We took him home and hand reared him until he could keep himself alive.

Brian is now 6 months old, lives out in the wild but stays close by our yard and comes to see us on a daily basis.

Brian as you will know or will find out is quite the character especially when it comes to sneaking inside if someone accidentally leaves the door open, coming out hacking with me and my horse for numerous miles, embarrassing us out on dog walks when we walk our 3 dogs and he decides to tag along, he leaves everyone speechless when they meet him and is becoming the posties best friend.

He is super playful and loves to caper with our dogs, horses, cats, sheep and highland cattle. We have loads of ‘actual’ wild roe deer in the area but he is quite happy with his life here and we and MOST of our neighbours love seeing his wee face too 💙 🦌
