‼️$5 Friday Fundraiser‼️

❄️ Donate as little as $5 and help us prepare the barns for the cold front coming through next week!

⬇️ Check out our fundraiser at the link below or donate via Venmo, PayPal, or facebook

We are working hard to get prepared for the incoming cold weather and winter months, but we are in need of donations to help buy straw bales for bedding and lumber to repair barns and to help block the cold air. Pigs are not a fan of cold weather and with their lack of fur, well…I don’t blame them!

If you would like to donate to help us winter proof barns, please go to our fundraiser link below. Thank you, as always, for your support!

It has been 5 tough weeks since Slothie died. I haven’t posted an update in a while, as I’m trying to get my case together and find representation, which is proving to be very difficult, but also just trying to keep it together and it’s very difficult to think, talk or post about Slothie without getting upset.

Slothie’s sisters were all very close to each other prior to her passing, but since I’ve noticed a definite change in their herd. I think Slothie was protective soul of her more submissive sisters and now that she’s no longer around, a couple of the girls have been getting into fights with other pigs and have distanced themselves from their once tight family. It’s hard to see them be so affected and just goes to show what a ripple effect Slothie’s death had on everyone here. Animals are just as affected by death as humans are. They grieve and get depressed too.

In the eyes of the legal system, animals are not given much value… especially any species other than a dog or cat. However, I am determined and I will keep pursuing every path possible to get justice and hopefully prevent the same fate of other animals that visit this vet clinic in TN.

I filed a complaint with the TN State Vet Board and it is still pending first review. I have reached out to attorneys that I felt would be a good fit for this type of case and have found 1 very nice attorney who is very passionate about animals and is helping me in any way she can right now, but is unable to take the case as she is in a transition between firms at the moment.

The vet clinic responsible has not been forthcoming with medical records and the 1 computer document I did receive had a false statement added to her chart (after the fact I’m sure), to which they did not remove, even after I called them out on it. This just goes to show the lack of ethics there and hopefully the state board will do a thorough investigation.
