Meet Cali, a beautiful 1-year-old pup who was found abandoned with her two puppies in the oilfields outside of Maricopa. Despite their rough start, Cali’s puppies have since found loving homes, and now it’s Cali’s turn to find her perfect forever home.

Cali is a sweet and gentle soul who needs a calm and patient home where she can build trust at her own pace. Having been abandoned, she is understandably scared of fast movements and unfamiliar surroundings. With the right family, Cali is ready to blossom into a confident and loving companion. She would thrive in a quiet home with a secure yard and people dedicated to helping her feel safe and loved.

While we’re not sure of her exact breed, we suspect she might be a Heeler/Jindo mix. It would be amazing if someone could sponsor a DNA test to help us learn more about her!

Need a change of scenery when reading? Come read to our shelter pets! 📚

Our Pet Literacy program promotes humane treatment and the socialization of animals through reading out loud. This program improves the shelter environment for our guests, creates a connection between people and animals, promotes socialization, and prepares the animals in our care for adoption.🐾

The program is available on Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. We are closed Mondays, Tuesdays & Holidays. 📖
