i HATE HATE HATE going to the vet!!
but mom sez I needs my rabies shot and tests to keep me healthy. even tho i is in good health mom sez preventative care is important.
the doc gives me “chill protocol” to help me be less nervous. (It’s a combination of carefully dosed and timed sedatives prior to my visit.)
i still anxious and nervous but it takes the edge off. plus the docs here understands my anxiety so they tries the best they can.

Rebel, like many dogs and some of us humans, gets nervous and anxious at the doctor’s. If your fur baby is like Rebel, ask your vet about the “chill protocol” which is administered at home before the vet visit to decrease stress of human handler and dog. With a carefully timed combination of Gabapentin (seizure med), melatonin (dietary supplement to help with sleep), and acepromazine (sedative), the dog arrives at the vet moderately sedated and yet alert enough to walk in on his/her own. This “chill protocol” can help if your dog is fearful, anxious, or aggressive at the vet. Ask your veterinarian if you want more information.

hi. it’s me, Rebel. brother had surgery last month. mom said it was a Tibial Tuberosity Advancement. he needed to get his knee fixed. the family isn’t letting me near him because he can’t run or jump or climb. i just want my brother well again.

today was a stressful day. I went to a special class at LARPBO - Los Angeles Responsible Pit Bull Owners where they train the humans that train the doggos. so I had lots of humans helping mom and dad and me with my anxiety. they all says i did a wonderbull job.

hello. i feel icky. i went to the vet for my checkup. she is nice but i get so nervous and i just wanted my mom and dad. vet says i am good, just got to watch what i eat. mom says almost half the dogs are overweight so it is a common problem. right now, i don’t want to eat. thanks fur visiting.

Hello Everypawdy. It's ME, Rascal the Fire Pup!
Here are some tips for all my furiends for a safe Halloween.
1) Keep us doggies away from the door. We want to protect your home and we will want to protect you from all the weird looking visitors that will come tonight.
2) We dogs love to eat everything and we're not picky, so make sure that decorations are out of reach.
3) I love to go out for a drive with my humans, but if you leave doggies alone in the car when you go out with the human kiddos, it can be very scary for us doggies with all the scary creatures running around.
4) Even though us doggies will beg, do not give us candy. Chocolate contains theobromine which can be lethal to pets, sticks on caramel apples can be swallowed, and packaging can cause choking and intestinal blockage. My humans have dog treats by the door in case the trick-or-treaters bring by some furiends.
5) Keep us doggies inside the house. Pranksters tease, injure and even steal pets that are left alone outside.
