As we continue to take care of some things going on in our family, posting may be sporadic. If you all have a second to send some good thoughts our way, it would be much appreciated. Coming home to this smile after the most amazing trip was really icing on the cake 🍰

Archie had the biggest smile and kept jelly beaning into my legs. Charlie was happy barking in my ear until I couldn't hear. Rylie kept grabbing my hand in her mouth, trying to drag me to the couch. And Stormie ... just as expected, happy peed all over my feet 🤣

Just wanted to drop in and say the pups are doing great and will have a few days solo with Pack Dad while I take a much needed vacation.

Archie's vision has been holding steady, and he definitely doesn't let the impairment hold him back. I've been letting him wander more when it's light out, and he's been doing amazing. He has his own little paths he seems to follow with muscle memory but also has been exploring more.

He's picked up 2 ticks somehow in the last few days, but I caught both on his face before they could burrow. I always check the girls as well and keep everyone up to date on their flea and tick prevention.

We are enjoying the sunshine while it lasts, it looks like it will be a rainy weekend 🌧

Poor Rylie will have to deal with my mediocre throwing skills for a few more days since Pack Dad's return home has unfortunately been delayed.

It's been chilly in the mornings, but the afternoons in the sun have been perfect for playing and exploring the yard.

"Run Charlie Run"

Charlie may be a hefty "old" gal, but when she gets going, she can hustle. Pack Dad has sometimes described her as a walrus on ice. It's adorable and fun, as long as she doesn't slide into your legs 😂

Speaking of running, we realized this morning that Rylie has worn her own little path in the yard playing football with Pack Dad. She runs exactly the same way every time to go catch it down the back. Reminded us of animal paths in the woods, familiar and comforting.

Don't worry Stormie, the bugs outside would make me raise my hackles too 😵‍💫

It's that time of year when every house is covered in creepy crawlies trying to find cracks to make their way in for the winter. The weather has been icky, and seeing bugs on every window has definitely not been our favorite, but so far none have made their way in (although I'm sure Stormie and Archie would gladly try to eat them)

We've been trying to spend as much time outside when the days warm up, but that fall chill is definitely here in the mornings.

Archie's night/dim light vision is not as sharp as the other pups due to his KCS, so he prefers to stay on the familiarity of the deck when it's getting dark out.

Today's Vibe 🍂

Hey friends, we have some family things going on that have taken priority and kept us from being home as much lately. We've been working to make sure the dogs get as much attention and play time as possible and prioritizing their well-being in the time we are home. We hope to be fully back to fun and normal posting soon, but in the meantime, if you could send our family some positive thoughts, we'd really appreciate it.

As always, we really really appreciate YOU all and for sticking with us through the ups and the downs.

This throwback from 4 years ago has me cracking up this morning. Archie has always slept in the funniest positions. Some mornings, I wake up with him upside down behind my pillow with his feet all pressed into the headboard, snoring like a chainsaw.

6 years ago today, we adopted a barely 6lb bat eared feisty little girl, and our lives have never been the same.

Hard to believe it's been a year already since we left town to move our little pack to our haven in the woods. When we lived in town, it was so difficult for everyone to fully relax because there were so many sounds outside and people constantly walking by getting them worked up.

Since we moved, everyone has been so much more relaxed. They move more, which has greatly improved Charlie and Archie's joint mobility, everyone has lost weight, and we get to spend so much time outside every morning and night getting fresh air and sunshine.

We are truly blessed to share this beautiful space with our Pack and all the woodland creatures.

Made some forest friends today in the Poconos. We adore them all but especially our little spotted friends. Mama seems to be a first year mom and a bit on the skinny side, but she takes such good care of her little ones.
