We had a great weekend in Eliot, Maine at the York County Kennel Club’s show. Hedy was Reserve Winners B*tch from the Bred By class on Saturday and Sunday under judges William Daugherty and Alfred Ferruggiaro, both of whom were very pleasant. Thank you so much Melinda Dorazio for taking Hedy back into Winners on Sunday so Astrid could go in as well. On Sunday Hedy qualified for the Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show and was awarded a Herding Group First by judge Robyn Januszewski, who was very encouraging and kind in the ring. It was my first opportunity to show in Groups and the multi group BIS ring was certainly a thrill. brought Hedy’s sister Kit both days, they are getting the hang of showing quickly, I can’t wait to see how they do when we venture out a bit further this winter. Astrid was her usual fabulous self, she sat out on Winners on Saturday due to lack of hands, and I’ve discovered she needs a loooong walk before an early AM ring time because she bounced around the Winners ring on Sunday. She had fun at least, but we’ll be practicing not leaping about like a kite while gaiting. It was a fun weekend of camping, the new show site was great and I like the Fall dates vs the previous April shows, the weather was far more pleasant. Thank you as well to .foster.31 for staying home and keeping the rest of the pack entertained.

Hedy (Wanderlust’s Method of Mayhem) was Winners B*tch at Nashua, NH today for her first AKC point. She was such a good girl, and she seemed to enjoy the ring more each day this weekend. Thank you to judge Linn Klingel Brown for recognizing our girl.

Hedy had fun yesterday, she has had mixed feelings about the show ring, the table specifically, but she seems to understand the assignment now and was a rockstar for exam. She’s maturing so much this year, both mentally and physically. She got a blue ribbon as the only dog in her class. Astrid had a good day too, she won her Bred By class of two and moved out beautifully in the Winners ring. With a monster thunderstorm rolling in, thunder and lightning included, I was impressed with how well they handled the chaos.

Astrid (Wanderlust’s I Touch The Clouds) had an exciting Day 2 at the Union shows! She was awarded Winners B*tch from the Bred By Exhibitor class, earning her very first AKC point! ✨

At just two years old and shown on a limited basis last spring and this year, we’re especially proud of this milestone. Huge thanks to Judge Jocelyn Gagne for recognizing our girl!

Tardy went to his forever home this weekend and we could not be more excited for him. It took some time to find exactly the right family for him but I can tell you with confidence that the great homes are worth the wait. He is settling in well with his new siblings and pet parents and we cannot what to see what adventures they embark on. Good luck beautiful boy, we’ll see you again soon!
