Mae’s babies turned eight weeks old yesterday. They had their first vet visit, received shots and microchips, and took a ride in the van to celebrate. They met many nice vet techs and their vet, charming everyone they encountered. They also had a bath with their first high-velocity blowout and behaved very well. Their ears are now up and looking proper, and they had a very full day! We’re looking forward to two more weeks with these floofs to get them started on leash manners and more outdoor exposure. Photos are in order of arrival: Archer, Dottie, Bert, Hedy, Flash!, Kit

Astrid had a great first day at a dog show yesterday in Cumberland. No big wins but a very positive first experience. Heading out soon for Day 2. She was happy to be back home and rolling around in the dirt, but she seemed to like being at the show as well.

Proof I have dogs other than puppies, lol. I always take photos, posting is another story. These cover 3/25-5/4, and include all three versions of Maine “Spring”.

Quinn x Flash DOB 4/27/24, these photos cover through 05/09/24. We had four tri’s, two boys and two girls. This girl was bred by my mother but is now owned by friend and mentor Jody Abrahamson. Quinn is here to whelp and raise her final litter before retirement and we are thrilled to welcome her. She has been a five star mom and I’ve never seen such rolly polly puppies. New challenges unlocked with photos of an ALL black litter but I’m breaking out the big lights when needed!

Behind on posting, but here is Mae’s litter from 4/25 ish to last night, 5/9. They are becoming little dogs now, sleeping a bit less and playing a lot more. They are so much fun and they are learning their first lessons in bathing, grooming, and consensual care without stress or dramatics. All in all they are a very happy and easy group.

Pupdate 2 of 2, these photos cover Tuesday 4/23 through yesterday, 4/24. They are in the same room as my desk so I have way too many opportunities to capture their cuteness. They are finally big enough to get bathed this weekend, they are messy eaters so bath day is much anticipated.

Pupdate 1 of 2, took too many pictures. These pics are from Friday 4/19 through this Monday 4/22. They have now fully transitioned to their big kid pen versus spending overnights in a more enclosed space.

Updating some photos; they’ll hit the four-week mark on Monday, and they had their inaugural play session in the larger playpen yesterday. The weather’s been unpredictable, so keeping cozy is our top priority. Finally, it feels like Spring is here, and they’re exploring their legs and engaging in more playtime. They’ve had their first taste of solid foods this week and absolutely adore it! Their distinct personalities are starting to shine, and it’s fascinating to witness their differences. Mae’s a bit wary now that they have teeth, understandably so, but she’s still an incredible mom, diligently cleaning them up after meals.

Still in the “we mostly sleep and eat” phase of life, here are yesterday’s pictures from bedtime. The colorful LED light at night makes them look painted.

Week 2 for Mae’s litter, 4/2/24-4/9/24, they have eyes open or on the way, and they are figuring out their feet. Mae shall never know peace again, they can find her even when she tiptoes 😅 Everyone is gaining well and they enjoy being handled and fussed over. Moving to better digs today, they can maintain their body temp well enough for bigger spaces.

Growing so fast! We are without power due to the storm but everybody is toasty warm with the woodstove going. I’ll post more pics soon, I have many… If anyone is waiting on a message/email response, I am not ignoring you! I’ll reach out as soon as we are out of the 1800’s, my cell service at home is terrible. For anyone hit by the storm, we hope you and your families are safe.

Very excited to announce a new litter born Monday 3/25/24. There are 2 sable boys, 1 tri boy, 2 sable girls, and 1 tri girl. This is a repeat breeding and I’m pleased to say Mae made up for a singleton litter the first time around. Mae is Illusion’s Go West For Mayhem (Ch. Jestar Incentive x Illusion’s Glory Girl) and the sire is “Charlie,” Illusion’s Sir Charles (CH Jesstar Raseri x Illusion’s Lisa Marie).

Waiting list is open, priority will go to active homes or returning puppy families. Please send a message for an application if interested.
