Hello everyone,

It bring me sadness to announce that I will be closing up Desert Winds Veterinary Services. It has been a very difficult decision to make, one that I have struggled with for the last several months.

The reason boils down to time and raising small children. I wish I had more time to invest into growing this business, but that time just isn’t there without pulling from the kids. Ultimately I feel that I am not servicing our community at the capacity you all deserve.

My plan is to transition slowly. My current clients I will continue to see until the end of July. I hope this gives everyone the time they need to make arrangements for your fur babies care. I am happy to receive everyone at the clinic I work at in town, Peoria Animal Hospital.

I apologize for any and all inconvenience. My hope is to open this door again when I have more time to commit.

I appreciate everyone’s love and support. Thank you, truly.

Update… puppies were likely abandoned/dumped.

We cannot keep puppies, we have too much on our plates already to love them like they deserve to be.

Looking for forever homes. ❤️🐾

I will send them with there first round if shots and I’m sending a parasite check to the lab so they’ll be bug free too 😉.

Description;
- about 12-14 weeks old.
- Shepherd/chow/chihuahua mix, I suspect.
- they know how to use a doggie door.
- socialized
- does well with other dogs and cats.
- mostly housebroken, I think they would take minimal coaching to complete the job.
- both apparently healthy on physical exam.
- Tan puppy boy
- Black puppy girl

Two puppies about 12 weeks. Shepherd mix of some sort. Definitely litter mates.

Hello!
We have had a great response to our newly established mobile veterinary service and we would just like to thank everyone who has helped make it possible.

We would like to remind the community that we are a small mixed animal non-emergency one doctor mobile practice that is one day a week, Mondays, as of now. We hope to open more days in the future, but as it stands, with Dr. Crowe working full time and having three small children, the time is just not there.

We are happy to inform the community that Dr. Carner is back seeing mixed animal and would be happy to help when we are unavailable. Just remember, she has a family too.

Thank you for your patience, love, and sense of community to let this dream take flight!

Hello Community!

As the days start to warm up this year a lot of critters come out, especially rattlesnakes. We want to let everyone know that we carry the rattlesnake vaccine BUT this is no way an antivenin. It will just help slow the progression of the venom. We still advise seeking emergent medical care ASAP within the first 4 hours of the strike for the best outcome of survival.
