I brought Nala to my home in August 7, 2022 (the day my human daughter turned 30).

I agreed to take on Nala. From what I was told, she was shut down, very insecure and so very shy. Her rescuer had to carry the dog bed (with Nala in it) to my car.

I had a puppy play pen set up downstairs. As soon as I got home, we went outside and I let her explore. While she was outside, I set up her bed in the play pen along with a bowl of water. As soon as I opened the door, she bolted right into her bed. She now had a safe place.

Soon I let my theee dogs come downstairs to meet her. She was so shut down that she didn’t get any reactions from my dogs. Soon I let them all outside. And then something special happened. She stated interacting with my dogs right away. It was clear from the very beginning - she needs to be around other dogs.

Welcome to Nala’s page! Nala is available for adoption through Spot’s Last Stop

Nala is a beautiful boxer / whippet mix. She has a beautiful brindle coat. She is a special girl. You see, Nala is very shy pup and just wanted to be invisible.

I am going to use this page to share her progress as she transform into the best version of her and to share her journey to her happily ever after.
