Clark Kent: The Couch Is My Kryptonite I'm a red-nosed American Staffordshire Terrier-bulldog mix. I sit nicely for treats, I spin for my dinner, and I love cuddling and snoozing with a nice pillow.

I LOVE all the foods! I found my furever home and a sister Sweetie on 26 February 2017.

Sophie Gamand, the artist who has done A LOT for pit bulls to inlcude photographing them with flower crowns, recently used AI to reconstruct cropped ears on rescue dogs. I asked her if she could give Clark Kent some ears and here were the results ❤️❤️🥹🥹

I've been thinking about Clark Kent a lot lately. He was such a sweet, smart pup, and the best snuggler. I want to create a memorial video for him, but I'm not ready yet. I lost him too quick without much warning and whenever I think of him, I think of his final days.

But he gave me so much and made me a pit bull advocate and I will honor him for the rest of my days by supporting and loving "pit bulls" of all kinds. My favorite dogs to walk at the my local SPCA are always pit bulls; not because they're pit bulls, but because there's something about pit bulls that draws me in. They're beautiful, smooshy, snuggly, sweet, fun, athletic, affectionate, goofy, loving, chill, and just special. Happy Gotcha Day Clark Kent and thank you for everything that you gave to me ❤💙💙💙

Big favor to ask - I'm sharing this guy more than I've ever shared another dog. He is a 7 year old black pit bull who I adore, who has been at the SPCA in Annapolis MD for far too long and we just learned he has lymphoma (just like Clark Kent except that they caught Bruce Kuma's cancer early). He desperately needs a foster home so he can start treatment as soon as possible and it needs to be one with no other pets and no small children. He's a very sweet boy. Please consider sharing him. Thank you.

Bruce Kuma needs a home—NOW!! Bruce was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. We'd be lying if we said this diagnosis didn't break our hearts. He’s been with us for over a year—rough and tumble and dog reactive. Bruce has had a hard time finding the right forever family. He now needs that home more than ever.

Bruce would do best being the only dog in a home. We are hoping to find him a foster or adopter so he can go through his cancer treatments in a home—somewhere quiet where he can relax, unwind, and enjoy his remaining days. Bruce loves to play fetch, and then cuddle up with you. He really is a lovely boy who now needs his person to step forward more than ever!

Bruce deserves to know what a home and family feels like—to experience love, and whatever adventures you can give him. Potential fosters should be able to take him to doctor's appointments and give him any needed at-home treatments. The SPCA covers all expenses.

We would love nothing more than to find Bruce a forever family where he can spend his remaining time. If you aren't able to foster or adopt, please share Bruce! It's through the power of this community that we are able to help the animals in our care. If you are able to foster this sweet boy, please reach out!

That wasn't the only naughty thing I did this week, so my human moved more things out of my reach (after I pulled a brand new 12" rectangular cookware dish off the counter and carried some shards across the kitchen). Luckily no dogs were hurt and my human cannot be mad at me because I am so cute... exhibit A:

... So I was just a little bit naughty the other day and maybe ruined Sweetie's "safe space".

Have you hugged your human today?

28/04/2017

I've been a good boy two days in a row -- woohoo! I can taste my freedom

27/04/2017

I lost some privileges and had to return to my kennel while my human is at work.. at least my favorite toy is here to keep me company.

Yesterday, it was raining really hard, so I had to p*e and p**p in the house, of course. So, last night my human picked me up and put me outside in the rain! I just stood there and waited for her to bring me back inside.

I don't know what this word "gravity" means. All I know is whenever I lean back to get belly rubs, my human always has me.

Sweetie grabbed her spot first, so I had to squeeze in and make room next to my human.... as an added bonus I created a buffer

21/04/2017

Ooh, bliss. I'm getting a coconut oil massage on my rough elbows. The best part is licking human's fingers afterwards!

I can't go to my training class, now that I'm "contagious", so I'm going to do some human training at home. If you want your human to open the door for you, just turn your whole body and stare at it until your human gets the message. This can work on any door... you know your training is at an advanced level if you can get your human to open the door for you that has a dog door in it.... 😉

Sigh....I just found out I have whipworms. My human says its because I sneakily snack on rabbit p**p when she's not looking.

Is there anyone out there who can help out a sweet little pibble who needs some quiet time to heal? B.A.R.C. who rescued me is over capacity with dogs right now and needs some help with this little one. If you can't foster her, could you please share this post and hopefully someone who can do it will see this and give Fiona the help she needs?

I'm in desperate need of a foster for Fiona that can keep her separate from any other pets in the house. She is Stage 3 heartworm positive. She needs peace and quiet. She does not need to meet the other pets in the house. Her heart and lungs are enlarged. She needs to be kept as quiet as possible. She is a happy, sweet girl, but she feels like crud and even though she has previously done fine with other dogs, she is less tolerant right now and doesn't need the excitement or aggravation. No...crating her for 3 months while she undergoes treatment is not cruel...it is lifesaving. Yes, it would be easier to have a foster that can mingle with the rest of the family, but right now, that is not what's best for Fiona. This is not to say that she should be locked up and not given any attention. On the contrary...you can spend quiet time with her watching tv or reading to her. She just absolutely can't play, look out the window and bark at squirrels or otherwise be stimulated. Potty breaks must be on leash so she isn't tempted to do a zoomie. She has been an absolute doll at our house and is quiet in her crate unless she has to potty. We just have TOO MANY dogs at our house right now. Somebody please step up for this girl.
