Hello everybody! 🤗
✨We have a few gaps on the IJA Virginia state grooming team that need to be filled. ✨
Usually we qualify new members in championship training sessions with our industry leaders, but this year we will qualify new members through IJA online competitions. 😄
❄️The winter competition is coming up, and now is the perfect time to start prepping your dog and growing coat. ❄️
If you have competed before, or are interested in starting to compete, this is a good way to get into it. The camaraderie in IJA is unmatched. We travel together, share housing and housing costs, have group dinners, and have training sessions to prep our dogs for the competitions and work on perfecting our profiles and techniques.
This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious groomer who wants to grow and learn in our industry. Everyone who competes (on the state team or solo) will get a ranking in IJA, helpful critiques and evaluations after the competition, and the ability to earn certifications in the ring.
💫🌎 There are opportunities to compete with live dogs, model dogs, and rescue dogs. Or, you can step into the creative ring with coloring, coat carving, and braiding/banding with both live dogs or model dogs. As your ranking goes up, you can also qualify for our international team. Right before covid hit several members of our east coast state teams, including myself, qualified for our international travel team and were preparing to try our luck in competitions in South Korea and Australia. That opportunity will resume once travel restrictions are eased up again. 🌎💫
🌟 If you are interested or have any questions, let me know. I’ll do my best to help anyone out. You can post on this thread or send me a private message. One of my mobile units is in the shop right now so I’m working double time for the next week or so to cover all of our appointments, but I’ll get back to you as soon as I possibly can.🌟
