You will often see me step back and take a deep breath myself and allow the horse to process. Sometimes they need their own space and time to process.
I am not always looking for the big yawn and lip chew but I also watch for the nose wrinkles to relax, the eyes to soften and the bottom lip to relax.

Book with me and let me help your equine partner.

Do I do body work on horses at a horse show … no.
Do I do body work on horses after they have competed and going home to rest for a few days.. yes!
I am always there to answer questions, help you with stretches or even Bemer but after a deep tissue massage the body needs to recover and relax.

Sometimes horses circle back around.

I was very shocked to walk into a barn and see this mare. Back story, this lovely mare was owned by very good friends approximately 15 years ago. That is me riding her in the second picture. She was sold and passed through different hands and has now landed in her forever home where she gets the best care and love.
Thank you for the smile down memory lane Kansas❤️

Pet your pony ❤️

Don’t forget to love your pony.
I am guilty of being busy and rushing to get horses rode and chores done and eat a decent meal and be in bed at a decent time. I do the basics and pick their feet, ride, cool down and brush them off but sometimes I forget to pet my pony. Show your horse that you appreciate them and love them.

If you want to show extra love with lots of benefits book a massage or Bemer.

Message me for availability and book now.

Approximately over a year ago, I completed a Craniosacral Therapy Course.

What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral therapy is a bodywork technique that addresses the craniosacral rhythm which is found in all animals. This rhythm is similar to the animal’s heartbeat, but is a result of the pumping of Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) rather than blood through the heart. The CSF nourishes the Central Nervous System (CNS) and changes in its flow can directly impact it. CSF flows from the skull of the animal (cranium), down the spinal cord to the sacrum (hence the name craniosacral). Craniosacral therapists can enhance and correct the flow of CSF through specific techniques and protocols.

Animals have a craniosacral rhythm that can become altered due to injuries and stresses. A lot of the horses I work with benefit from a combination of craniosacral therapy and massage. The craniosacral therapy allows the animal to “unwind” the kinks and twists in their fascia that is caused from repeated stresses allowing their bodies to stay in alignment following a massage and allowing the muscles and other soft tissues to remain less restricted longer following a massage.

I am always adding tools to my toolbox.

When I give a horse a massage, I also give the owner homework.

Many of my clients get “Long and Low” written on their report card. Why is it important to have your horse the opportunity to be long and low?

Well, this cool muscle called the Brachiocephalicas gets released and when at a state of relaxation it allows activation of the diaphragm, Quadriceps, Bicep Femoris and Gluteals. It also allows the horse to release the iliopsoas and hamstrings.

Riding with your horse’s head low is great but also think about it when you are leading them or doing any kind of handling on the ground as well!

For More information on this method – Visit https://www.balancethroughmovementmethod.com/

I love to keep learning so I can give more to horses and the horse owners.

This tribe of young women 💕

Who is your tribe ? Who cheers you on? Who stays up to 1am to watch you run in the slack?

“And one day she discovered that she was fierce, and strong, and full of fire, and that not even she could hold herself back because her passion burned brighter than her fears.”

Horses keep you humble but your tribe keeps you sane.

Roxy is an all business type mare. Loves to work!

Starting a mare back to work after having a baby is tough … starting a mare back after a baby and an injury .. even tougher.

It is not just legging her up, tacking some shoes back on and getting her wind in her sails again.
We are stretching, rebalancing her body, making sure she is getting enough calories to nurse and exercise, being cautious of the foals exercise and most importantly trying to get a c**t halter broke so he is well behaved for future vet and farrier appointments with his momma.

Contact me to help you get your mommas back working again.

We love our working mommas.

The key is to look at the horse as a whole.
We can look at underdeveloped muscles, over developed muscles and see a pattern but we also have to look at things that effect those muscles.
-Saddle Fit
- Joint soreness
- Feet Soreness
- An irritated tooth
- Diet

Sometimes we get so focused on what is sore or painful that we forget to look at what is causing the problem.
That is why I am always asking questions when working on your horse because you as an owner knows your horse the best.
If you are having muscle soreness with your equine partner, contact me directly and we can work together.

We are beyond proud of Nate and Ollie! What a great team.💙

Ollie and I are on a strict schedule during show season to make sure he is feeling his best. Nate works extra hard in between sessions to make sure Ollie does his stretches and I can’t thank Nate enough for making my job so rewarding.

Giveaway is NOW CLOSED, Winner announced separately🎉

IT’S GIVEAWAY TIME!!💜

We will be giving away a free equine massage to one of our amazing followers.

Our beautiful Roxy is getting very large, so we thought we would have a little contest for everyone to guess when Roxy is going to have her baby🐴

Here are some details that might be helpful for your guesses:

💜 Her official due date is May 7th
💜 Roxy is a maiden mare which means this is going to be her first baby
💜 Note she is also very large and bagging up well!

HOW TO ENTER:

1: Make sure you follow us on Instagram and/or like and follow us on Facebook

2: Comment your guess for what date you think Roxy will have her baby, and tag 2 friends

3: Share this post on Facebook or on your Instagram story for a bonus entry (make sure it is public so we can see it)

Entries will close at the end of day on April 26th, 2024, and the winner will be announced, of course, when Roxy has her baby!

If multiple people guess the correct date, then all of these people will be added to a wheel, and we will spin this wheel to reveal our winner of a free equine massage!

Extra details:

This giveaway is also running on Instagram, see our Instagram to get in on more entries!

Traveling fees may be applicable if the winner exceeds a distance of 30km from Odessa, Ontario. If the winner is within that traveling distance, all is free! (Example areas of free travel include Napanee, Kingston, Odessa, Bath, Newburgh, Yarker)
