From Kennels To Homes, LLC Our mission is to provide training and behavior modification (BM) to shelters and rescues for dogs that have been labeled "unadoptable" due to behavior issues.

As a result of this effort we hope to reduce unnecessary euthanasia, as well as eliminate dogs

West Michigan at-risk shelter dogs;

Every time a Sunday rolls around after 2 weeks, I panic that I won't have the funds to continue, but everyone steps up!! I am very grateful, since consistency is so critical for at-risk dogs.❤️

I already have 2 dogs sponsored for 6/10-6/24, just need 8 more ($53). I've been going almost every day, and so proud of these dogs!🐾

In order to understand the overcrowding animal shelter epidemic, it's important to understand the difference between a rescue and an open county shelter.

In general, an open county shelter is required to take every dog. Rescues are not.

So every stray dog, and every owner surrender is taken into the shelter (yes, some do close open enrollment in crisis).

Does that help to understand why shelters are overcrowded and euthanize for space?

For me, there's a VERY sad difference. In a rescue, I generally have the luxury of time to help a dog. In a shelter, I do not have
that luxury;-(

They could not get this sweet feral girl out, so made a trip there. Not only did she get out, an employee adopted her❤️🐾 Look at her bravery!
