PSA: It’s that time of the year where dog illness is high.

We just want to make everyone aware of some potential issues that some dogs may have. We’ve had multiple cancellations due to dogs showing one or the other:

1. signs of an upper respiratory infection, consisting of a cough or hacking sound (similar to something stuck in throat).

2. Loose, bloody stool.

The coughing could potentially be kennel cough which is highly contagious within dogs. Its spread through droplets through multiple avenues. The loose stool could be from nervousness or changes in everyday life for your pup, it generally resolves itself in a day or two, but if it persists past that we recommend a vet visit for further assessment.

Both signs could be potentially mild, but if you notice these signs we recommend getting an appointment made with your vet. It is recommended that the dogs be isolated. Please follow your vets recommendation as to how long your pup should be quarantined.

The cleaners used in our facility throughout the day, and after every single session, are formulated specifically for veterinarian and boarding environments. It targets and eliminates potential transmission of viruses and bacteria like Kennel Cough, Parvo, and Distemper. We try our best to maintain a sanitary environment, unfortunately illness can still occur.

‼️Starting next week, assessment visits will be activated & required for first time guests starting Wednesday (4/24). If you’re a previous Mutty Paws guest, Good Shepherd guest or already have a stay booked, you are NOT required to attend an assessment visit. This is for totally new customers and guests who have never stayed with us or with Mutty Paws. It is a one time visit & is totally free. It’s used as a time for us to visit with you about your pets & watch them to learn their behaviors and make sure we are good fits for each other. We want to create a safe environment for all pups and staff! If you are unable to attend on Wednesdays or feel like a daycare day would better suite you and your pup that is an option as well! We offer daycare Monday-Friday.

We closed today!! We are still so shocked this happened because it wasn’t even on our radar. In 2019 the idea came to us to do this, we started in 2020 and could never have thought it would’ve turned into this. We honestly couldn’t have done it without you all. We love to spoil your dogs and are so grateful you trust us with them ❤️ We cant wait to show them the new place! Oh and please let them know the pool is finally coming out next week 🤣🌊

We’re excited to announce our operation will be moving into a bigger location! Starting April 1st, our location will move to the currently operated Mutty Paws Ranch location. All services will remain with the exception of a few mobile services being eliminated. Pricing will be increasing to reflect the new operating costs but any current confirmed stays will not be affected. We can’t believe the journey we’ve been on, from starting our dog boarding with 1-2 dogs every other weekend to having a packed house every weekend! We couldn’t be more thankful for everyone who has chosen us, whether you’ve been with us since day 1 or day 999, we wouldn’t be able to make this move if it wasn’t for you guys. We’re also so thankful for Alicia Snider to give us this opportunity to expand and for being so gracious in answering any and all questions we have regarding the transition. We’re so excited for all our visitors to move with us & to meet all the current visitors of Mutty Paws and we look forward to an exciting future. Thank you all for choosing us to watch over your pups!
