Fluff n’ Tuff Maincoon Cattery Small Maine C**n cattery located near Saskatoon, SK. Cats are kept in home and raised underfoot. They are first PETS, and second breeders. Health is paramount.

We do not use cages or kennels. DNA testing and regular health checks with our vet.

Today is a wonderful day! We are officially done bottle feeding. Goober who absolutely loves his bottles refused any and all food. Thank you to Marcie my wonderful mentor for helping me through this journey. She had the brilliant suggestion to give him a tube (the snack ones). He was resistance for about 2 bites and then grabbed hold and gobbled down two.

Here’s our set up for this trip. We have mom, Vin and the 7 babies, as well as Jazz our 5 month old. We have left the boys at home under the care of our daughter. Life doesn’t have to stop when you are a breeder. You just have to plan, plan, plan and clean, clean, clean. Oh and have the world’s most patient husband.

7 nearly 5 week old kittens is a lot of work. They’re transitioning from milk to food, mom cleaning them to using a litter box and they’re exploring more. Aka absolute chaos and mess. You cannot sweep, vacuum or mop enough.

This is one of difficult parts to raising kittens. This little guy is struggling so much. The smallest of the litter. He needs a lot more intervention. Every 2-3 hrs round the clock feeding. Left with the litter he gets next to nothing. Yesterday in just 8 hrs he made huge gains (25g), last night with mom, 2g. Today with mom, lost 5g. It’s hard to balance life and raising these precious babies. The chances he survives are quite low.
