Fellow pet lovers....I want everyone to know that I just added several new sections to eyesofadog.com that will help people who love pets. Among other things there are new news sections that are updated often from the Humane Society and the ASPCA for pet news and a few that deal with training and raising pets, but the most important thing is, there is a new section that will allow anyone in the USA to find low costs spay and neuter clinics in your area by just typing in your zip code. Any pet cross posters on here want to help work on a new project? It's basically doing what you do right now, but instead of doing it on your own page, just send me a list of around 50 random dogs or cats at a time. They can all be at a single shelter or adoption center, a dog pound in your area or they can be chosen randomly.

The ONLY thing is, they need to have at least a week from the time they are euthanized. The rescue or shelter should also be ok with pet transport and allowing people from far away to adopt as we are a nationwide project.

All you'd be doing is collecting the photos, a little about each pet like: name, approximately how old, male or female and any relevant information about each pet. Then just e-mail em to me and I will set up the video. If you'd like to be credited as the person who collected all the info to help the pets, we can do that in the video.

It can be a once in awhile thing or a weekly thing, whatever fits your schedule. If you want to help save animals, send a message in the comments below and I will be with you shortly.

Eyes of a Dog UPDATE: 06/11/24 As many of you know, our goal was to use Facebook to help promote the adoption of pets who need to be adopted before it's too late. We learned today that two of the people who cross post for pets to be adopted have gotten account blocks on their profiles and even warnings of losing their accounts if it happens again.

After talking it over today, we've decided to go about the process of getting these innocent babies adopted in a safer and more efficient way. We'll still use FaceBook to notify people of various things going on, but we will exclude the adoptathons from their pages.

Instead, we'll post them directly to our main site in a window where anyone and everyone can go there to see them. This can't work without your help though. If your on our main page and you happen to see a pet you'd like to adopt, it will give you the information you need as to where to find it. You can also notify or tag people you know if you see a pet you think they will want as well. This will be done directly on Eyes of a Dog, not on the page. Just have your friends or loved ones head directly to the site instead of the page. This will help save more animals in the future.

Also, when this new feature is finished and set up, we'll let you know on here so you can add our site to your favorites. Let's save some animals, what do you say?

UPDATE on what's all going on with the site. Eyes of a Dog is still my main passion and concern. I still try to do all I can to save animals, but it's gotten to be alot harder than I anticipated.

I thought that If I sold ad space to veterinary clinics across the country to be added to their state pages, it would allow me just enough to pay for the ads to help promote the adoptathon's and help save more animals, but with all the phone scammers out there, it's impossible to tell who is honest and who isn't, so selling ad space has been nearly impossible.

That means that the adoptathon's until I get more viewers has become a moot point.

After much thought and consideration, I've thought about all my options and I have decided to stay true to what I am trying to do, but I am going to go about it a much different way.

I have other projects I work on as well and one of them is a site for everything farm related in South East Missouri. Being that it is way easier to promote something that is in a smaller location than it is a larger location like the entire country, I've decided to focus on that for a few weeks and get that fully built, running and once it is, promote Eyes of a Dog from there.

We'll start by helping to clear the shelters here with the help of people putting up signs, flyers, radio ads etc I can also get local groups, churches and local orgs involved who KNOW me and knows I am doing it for the right reasons.

I am hoping that it will grow from there and spread with the help of all the people we have here. I'm not quitting Eyes of a Dog. I'm as dedicated as ever and if someone wants to do an adoptathon, I'll gladly put it together if they want to pay the post boost fee for Meta. Thats NOT a requierment. I'll do it for free if they want, but I'm just saying, it will be seen by more people if they do.

I think the cheapest one is around 50 bucks and it goes up from there for however many people across the country you want to see it. I'd do it myself, but I'm drained and depleted of any funds at this time, hence the reason I was trying to sell ad space.

Still though, I can and will do it free of charge. I'm not trying to make anything from it. I just want it seen by as many people as possible. I can do the video for free and if you have a large enough following, simply share it to them and encourage them to share it as well.

After that, go BACK to the page and look for the 3 little black dots in a tow. Click those and scroll down to where it says invite your friends. You can invite up to 1000 people a day.

The bottom line is this: the more followers we have, the better the adoptathons will be and the more lives it will save.

Copy and repost this into a new e-mail and have your friends and loved ones head over to eyesofadog.com and see for themselves what it is. If your on a cell phone, you have to click those 3 bars at the top of the page to get to the rescues.

Let's roll up our sleeves and save some animals. Shall we? I can't do it without your help though.
