Boyd's Forest Dragon is a species of arboreal lizard native to rainforests and their margins in the Wet Tropics region of northern Queensland, Australia. It is the larger of the two species of Lophosaurus found in Australia.

This sweet little Addax calf was photographed having a snooze in the wildflowers at Monarto Safari Park by Browse Coordinator, Cris.

The school holidays are a great time to take your little ones to Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park. Naturally wild spring school holidays will have little visitors finding animal stamps as they move around the site.

A little Aonika to brighten your afternoon. 🐢🥰

This lovely lady is 46 years old and arrived at Adelaide Zoo in July 1987. With the weather starting to warm up, Aonika is spending lots of time splashing around in her pool.

Her species, the Aldabra Tortoise, are one of the world's largest land tortoises and can live for up to 150 years! 🌿

Aldabra Tortoises are found on Aldabra Atoll, a small group of coral islands in the island nation of Seychelles, north of Madagascar. They are the last of 18 species of tortoise that once flourished on islands of the Indian Ocean.

Each time you visit Adelaide Zoo you help support the conservation of amazing species and animals like Aonika! 🐾
