TNR Cyprus has been continuing the funding of TNR projects of colonies of stray cats, through the program Jerry & Friends.

We would like the donations we receive to not only neuter a cat but to educate a child at the same time.

Not only do we wish to help colony caretakers to neuter their colonies but through the book Jerry & Friends www.Jerryandfriends.com , we wish to educate the youth and in turn educate parents and grandparents about the importance of neutering our pets and helping with community TNR projects in their neighborhood. We are looking for foster homes in Cyprus for rescue kittens who will fly abroad. The average period to prepare a kitten to fly is 15 weeks but there are cases that will need longer. If you have extra space in your home and love cats please message us.

SOS - HELP NEEDED TO TRAP CATS TO BE NEUTERED IN PROTARAS ON THE WAY TO CAPE GREKO.

C4C was contacted by Ms Rizia Ortolani who cares for Stray cats. Rizia is asking for rescuers who have traps to help her catch 2 females and 3 males ASAP. She managed the friendly three by herself but she is urgently asking for someone who could help her trap the rest before it’s too late.
She is not asking for money and will cover the costs herself . She just needs help to trap ASAP. Please respond on this post in comment section if you have traps & can help Rizia help the homeless in her neighberhood in Protaras . 🙏🙏🙏

We have been made aware of a colony of cats in Limassol that urgently needs TNR. The rescuer cares for numerous colonies in the area and simply cannot afford to neuter all the strays there. Jerry & Friends have pledged 150euros to help with the TNR bill expenses.

🙏🏼🙏🏼We are kindly requesting your help with the remainder of the colony. We need to raise atleast another 1300 euros to cover the whole colony’s TNR costs and then try to help with the next one asap. Please help or share our post so that we can neuter all the cats by February 🙏🏼

Our previous fundraiser helped neuter 54 stray cats throughout Cyprus. 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️ This would not have been possible without your help ❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼.

I am asking for your help again this year, through the fundraiser of my book Jerry & Friends, which is a story that teaches children from a young age the importance of neutering their pets, as well as helping community strays, in any way that they can.

About 6 years ago, Donna Smith reached out to me to tell me about the tragic death of her beloved cat, Charlie. She wanted to be sure that Charlie's death was not in vain and that his untimely passing would help save the lives of cats everywhere. I vowed to her that I would share Charlie's story every year with the hopes that this never happens again. This is our annual posting and tribute to sweet Charlie.

I received a call from a lady who feeds cats in the parking lot of her building. We helped to trap, neuter and release Casanova (Tabby and white) a few weeks ago for her and she said there was a new comer who was causing havoc with the cats she feeds (white and ginger). We have called him Bruce. We managed to Trap him the same afternoon and he has been neutered and released to his familiar environment.

Έναρξη υλοποίησης Παγκύπριου Σχεδίου Στειρώσεων αδέσποτων γάτων για το 2021

Οι Κτηνιατρικές Υπηρεσίες του Υπουργείου Γεωργίας, Αγροτικής Ανάπτυξης και Περιβάλλοντος, ανακοινώνουν ότι άρχισε την 1η Ιουνίου 2021 η υλοποίηση του Παγκύπριου Σχεδίου Στειρώσεων Αδέσποτων Γάτων 2021, με προϋπολογισμό €75.000.

Μέχρι στιγμής, εντός του 2020 στειρώθηκαν 1524 γάτες μέσω του Σχεδίου Στειρώσεων. Αν αναλογιστεί κανείς ότι από μία μη-στειρωμένη γάτα και τους απογόνους της μπορούν να γεννηθούν περίπου 12,000 γατιά σε πέντε χρόνια, διαφαίνεται η μεγάλη σημασία του προγράμματος.

Την υλοποίηση του Σχεδίου θα αναλάβουν τα Επαρχιακά Κτηνιατρικά Γραφεία, σε συνεργασία με τους Φορείς που εκδήλωσαν ενδιαφέρον συμμετοχής (Δημοτικά και Κοινοτικά Συμβούλια και εγγεγραμμένες Φιλοζωικές Οργανώσεις).

Υπενθυμίζεται ότι μεμονωμένα άτομα και μη εγγεγραμμένες ομάδες που δρουν ως εθελοντές φροντίζοντας πολλά ζώα, μπορούν να συμμετάσχουν μόνο μέσω των Αρχών Τοπικής Αυτοδιοίκησης ή εγγεγραμμένων Φιλοζωικών Οργανώσεων, των οποίων τα ονόματα βρίσκονται αναρτημένα σε κατάλογο στην ιστοσελίδα των Κτηνιατρικών Υπηρεσιών: http://www.moa.gov.cy/moa/vs/vs.nsf/All/590E585C7304D8F6C225851800369402?OpenDocument
