2nd one on the left is my 2nd chocolate ancona duckling I have hatched out! Super excited for when she's older and I can make more chocolate anconas!
I know its a she because the only adult ancona ducks I have are black and blue so one or both of my ancona drakes carry the chocolate gene which means every female the drake that carries chocolate produces has a 50% chance to be chocolate(Statistically, really depends on luck if he throws the gene or not)
I have more ancona eggs in the incubator which should hatch the 25th of this month!

Got the incubator set up last night! Had the time yesterday to do a good cleaning of it so put in the eggs that were hatching out from the ducks in there last night.(ducks that were setting were fighting and crushed some of the eggs so I thought it would be best to just take the eggs) The eggs from the serma hens that were setting hatched late last night- early morning today so she has some babies now!
We have runner ducklings and ancona ducklings hatching out of the incubator (black, blue, and silvers!)
I put 4 blue bib call duck eggs in there today along with 10 white call duck eggs so they should hatch july 19th
All ducklings and chicks will stay with me for at least a week so I can make sure they are all eating and drinking properly 🙂

All ducklings and chicks are purebred!
