Morning everyone!

Just a quick post about the lucky dip sale I have running (it was named pick and mix but lucky dip makes more sense 😆). It ends on Sunday, just so you're all aware!

All parcels are going out tomorrow, the temperatures still look good! If you'd like to make an order for Friday delivery, you have until tonight. Any orders placed after that will be sent on Monday if the temperatures stay as they're predicted.

Not spider related but yesterday I mentioned I was having to help one of our much loved house rabbits over to rainbow bridge.

I just wanted to pop a few pictures of him on here because look at him, he's the cutest.

One of my original rabbits (the ginger one) refused to be friends with so many rabbits until eventually he came along. She loved him for nearly 7 years but unfortunately his health started declining recently. He was at least 11 years old so he reached a good age. I'm glad we could have given him a cage free and spoilt life whilst he was here with us.

I'll be offline tomorrow and possibly the weekend too. We're having to put one of our old and much loved house rabbits to sleep tomorrow so I need some time.

❄️ Cold weather! ❄️

Shipping this week is looking very unlikely due to the cold temps. Tomorrow isn't looking too bad so I may be able to ship then depending on the area.

G2-15, what a menace this one is 😆

They went missing last week, I lost hope and didn't think I would find them but this afternoon as I was feeding my Phidippus Pius girl, I noticed something with her. This little one had managed to get into her enclosure and was just chilling with her!!

Good luck to whoever chooses this one when they're ready to go, they have mastered the art of teleportation 🙈

This! 💯

The coveted “white jumping spider”

((I’ve been adding more to the ‘care guides & info’ sections of the website recently, so I’m just popping a few up here on the page for people to refer to. ☺️))

I get asked if I have any white spiders available all the time, so I will quickly run through a little information about this colouration.

Unfortunately the only way to get a white spider is to find a white mature female. I rehome my lil’ ones around L6/L7, which means that they can really turn out to be any colour. Even if they were white at L6, they could still moult into a completely different colour at any time. There are certain locales which tend to throw out more light colourations, such as Bahamas, and Apalachicola, but there is still no guarantee. Although parents of the babies may be white and fluffy, this does not always mean that their slings will look the same, white parents can still throw out very dark coloured babies.

My top tips for finding your perfect fluffy white friend!:

🤍 Go for Apalachicola, Florida, or Bahamas locales.
🤍 Choose a sling from light coloured parents.
🤍 Ask your br33der about their lines.
🤍 Don’t always look for the lightest coloured sling, some of my whitest females were completely black as babies.
🤍 Remember that colourations can change from moult to moult.
🤍 Remember that green chelicerae doesn’t always mean male.

Finally, anyone promising you a white spider before maturity, is off their rocker, and not all Bahamas are white. Happy hunting!
