Socializing your avian. As they are flock birds, African greys need socialization. But we’ve taken care of this, so your parrot will be fine with other members of your family.

DIET An improper diet can be very harmful to your bird. It can cause feather plucking, overgrown beak, blindness, epileptic seizures, and immune deficiencies. Allow me to take you on a troll on a good parrot diet and a bad parrot diet. The colorful seeds and pellets in some pet stores are hazardous. This is because the manufacturers use sugar-filled food coloring. This simply means that you are overdosing your parrot with sugar. You wouldn’t give a toddler a bowl of sugar to consume, so why give your bird? Feeding your parrot with a seed-only diet is not just wrong but life-threatening. Despite the fact that there are no toxic ingredients in it, they are embedded with fat and carbohydrates, and they are the chief cause of health-related issues such as organ failures in parrots. The excess fat and carbohydrates in seeds will cause your parrot’s liver and kidneys to work harder than usual to sift the fat in your parrot’s bloodstream. You know what this means, right? Eventual kidney failure and liver disease.

TEMPERAMENT
The African gray parrot has a very high intelligence rate. They have been termed the most intelligent species of parrots in Africa. They are extremely talkative and are very sensitive. They can learn hundreds of words and sounds. Their records can be traced as far back as when the Romans wrote about them. When they get aggressive, fly them on your finger or take them on a walk around the house to stop them from screaming. That notwithstanding, these birds can be marvelous and affectionate, entertaining, and rewarding. To keep. They prefer a routine schedule and require a substantial amount of time.

How Our Babies Are Raised
Our babies are handfed and socialized in our home, along with children, dogs, cats, and pet birds. They are acclimated to having their nails trimmed (both with a Dremel and nail clippers), taught to fly and target land, and are familiarized with wearing a harness. Our goal is to provide your family with a well-adjusted baby with an easy transition to your home.
We have a strict “No Wing Clipping” policy for the first year, and preferably never! We believe full flight is a critical part of life for a healthy bird, for both mind and body.
