Casey & Lulu (the pups in the video) met in Junior Puppy School. It took them a while to build the confidence to play, and then to find a play style that suited them both.
When we have good matches (more about play style and temperament than breed or size), we have puppy play/interactions during weeks 2 - 5 of Junior Puppy School. This is an opportunity for the pups to learn about other breeds and how to play or interact, in a safe & supervised environment.
We’re careful to make sure every puppy is having the best time possible. That’s why the 3rd puppy in this class is not playing - Bubble the bichon frise found these two larrikins too boisterous and preferred to watch from their owner's arms (and enjoy some chicken treats).

To set them up for success, we worked up to this level of distraction and continue to keep them leashed around most other dogs.
