We are missing this girl today as we are packing up our apartment we’ve lived in for 10 years where we shared such amazing memories with her ❤️

Having dogs in my life since I was a child, we never know the specific impact a dog can have on us. Each one of our fur angels have left different impacts. Sky was a special girl, she had these beautiful caring eyes, energy and calmness to her that could melt any heart.

5 days till christmas! Ho, Ho, Ho! Even though I have a natural grumpy lip I had the best weekend with my new puppy cousin go show him some love ❤️ AND can we talk about how adorable he is?!
‼️🤎 He was rescued from in Kentucky and now living his best life in Brooklyn with my aunty Alex and uncle Ty.

Beautiful holiday memories of when we started our annual tree cutting a few years ago and of course we had to include Sky. ❤️❤️

This year we passed on it since we’ve heard some crazy stories about bringing in animals that stay on the tree like ticks so we did a fake tree this year. Maybe next year we will do it again, not sure.

Everyone please help me wish Sky a heavenly birthday! She would’ve been 13 yo today. I know she’s in heaven with so many loved ones including her brothers and my mother having the most amazing time with all the food, fields to run in and most importantly all the love, kisses and cuddles. Miss you girl!

My beautiful fur baby is ready to celebrate her heavenly birthday tomorrow. She loved this time of year, she loved playing in the crunchy dry leaves, going to the park and dressing up. While I did have my first dog Blaze at 18 she was the one who made me a fur momma, she was my soul dog ❤️. Love these memories that came up on my phone today. ✨❤️

PSA | PIT BULL AWARENESS MONTH
This guy has brought so much sunshine to our lives. October is Pit Bull Awareness Month. It would be cavalier of me if I would say a Pittie is the perfect Pit Bull for everyone, but it’s not. If you aren’t willing to advocate and show leadership, love, companionship or are willing to put in the work to be a Pit Bull pawrent then please don’t take these beautiful babies in. These babies need all the extra love and care with them being the number one dogs in the shelter and most abused dogs. I am blessed to say I’ve been a Pitbull pawrent for 20+ years and we make sure we show up every single day. This month is the month to celebrate but also educate. Love you Benny Blanco, Sky, Tuxx, Apollo and Blaze. Each of you have made me who I am today. ❤️✨

“Where’s Benny?!” Many have you asked. I never go this long without posting but between Sky’s 1yr death anniversary same day Benny started training, getting my phone stolen and then not feeling well, here we are 3 weeks later on a post.
Now for what you want to hear, he’s doing great! He’s on week 3 of training and we’ve had soooo much improvement from his behavior and also a lot of learnings on our end on how to manage him. has done such a wonderful job with him and us. Once his training is done we will do another post with things we’ve learned.

Real talk… Bennys dog reaction, story below.

First thank you all so much for those of you who have donated to our (link in bio)you guys are our village and we appreciate all the love you have showed our family.

As you know in most “society eyes” Pitbulls get a bad reputation and have no room for errors. I’ve shared this video before on our stories but wanted to share it here so we can put some context to Bennys dog reactivity. I must say we are in a bit of a better place from when this video was taken but we are still dealing with this. I also never get to capture this because usually im the one walking him alone during the morning and can’t manage to record and control him. So before we used a gentle leader he would drag me and the walk for both of us became really anxious and stressful. Benny is 60lbs of pure muscle plus add in his energy just makes him stronger.

On this walk we had given Benny a break from the gentle leader and decided to just use his martingale collar (we no longer do this) and guess what we ran into a dog. 🤪
Now most of his controlled interactions with dogs are really good, we have shared plenty of that on his stories and he clearly lived with Sky and that’s been good. The thing is it’s hard to tell sometimes if his reactivity is because he’s excited or because he’s being protective of feels fearful.

We want to give Benny the best opportunity to be his best self without our walks being derailed or I’m crossing streets, hiding behind trees, etc. Feel free to check out our link in bio and feel free to donate or share our . Double trouble! How cute are Benny and dad.

We’ve been riding with Benny on our bikes for about 2 months now. At first we were a hot mess because we didn’t have the appropriate gear and when Benny saw a dog he would get reactive and try and run towards it and would run in front of the tire 🤪🤦🏻‍♀️ Now he’s better and the best part when he gets home he passes out and takes naps in between his naps. This has helped him tremendously with his anxiety and reactions. He’s getting better but not there yet.

My soul dog, Sky, a month from today it will make 1 year since she passed and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. 🥰

I love these memories that popped up today from 7 years ago where you see us at a concert with our pitties. Our other pittie we loved in here is Tuxx that was Sky’s best friend. I want to think they are together again cuddling and loving on each other 🌈

APPRECIATION & REINTRODUCTION POST

Just wanted to reintroduce ourselves for some of our new followers. This page was dedicated to my beautiful Sky girl and at the time my new foster fail Benny along with their pawrents, myself, Jessica as their mother and protector and their dad Vernon. Sky is now my fur baby angel 🌈 whom we lost to my osteo sarcoma cancer and we keep her memory alive through Benny and throwbacks.

Our family is a beautiful blended household of black, Latina and Pit bull roots based in New Jersey, USA. We love to share our journey with our dogs through joys, sorrows, challenges but overall lots of love, kisses and comedy. Laughing is part of our everyday life’s and in many times has saved us. We appreciate this community, the love, follows, saves, shares and everything else in between.

Wahhh is it Monday already... we had a very busy last week and we just want to send a big thank you to all of our furiends and family who reached out, donated, sent uplifting messages and kept my family in their prayers. Leila the shero and family are all alive, breathing and thankful. While the house was destroyed by the fire, that is all replaceable. Thanks so much again for the outpouring of love! 🤎🤎

Today this dog, Leila, is our family’s savior our Shero.

A fire broke out at 430am this morning at my cousins house, Leila was the only reason everyone was able to escape unscathed. The smoke detectors did not go off, but Leila made sure my family was alerted. She woke up my cousin and would not stop barking till the whole family was out of the house.
God bless this dog.
