What hood should I put on my horse during winter?! Winter can be tricky when it comes to keeping your horse warm and dry without their mane rubbing out… so here are some of our top tips!
1. Use a nice, secure, light-weight hood or neck rug. My favourite brands are & Mane Stay 🙌🏼
2. Try avoid heavy waterproof neck rugs when possible! I like to take my neck rugs off when it’s not raining or tuck in the neck of a combo under the rug ⭐️
3. Keep your mane clean! We was our horse’s manes every week/ fortnight 🧼
4. Change your rugs and hoods regularly! Once a week/fortnight should do the trick. This is important to about build up of dirt and grime in your horse’s mane.
5. Use !!! If your notice your horse is started to run their mane out, follow the steps above with some of our cream ❤️‍🔥
