🌹 In Loving Memory of Faith – The Matriarch of Our Pack 🌹

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Faith, the Rottweiler who started it all here at Dirty South Rotties. Faith wasn’t just our first girl—she was the heart and soul of our breeding program. She overcame a heartbreaking beginning and went on to become a nurturing mother, a loyal protector, and the living example of everything we love about this incredible breed.

Faith was the mother of Apollo, our current stud, and grandmother to many of the pups we’ve raised and placed in loving homes. Her legacy runs deep... not just in our bloodlines, but in our hearts, our family, and the foundation of who we are as breeders.

She was grace, strength, gentleness, and loyalty all wrapped in one regal, prancing Rottie body.

Though she’s no longer physically with us, her spirit lives on in every pup who carries her line forward.

Run free, sweet girl. You’ll always be our queen. 🐾🖤

It’s been nothing but rain for the past week with no end in sight, but that didn’t stop us from having a little picnic in the rain! 🌧️ We took the pups out to work on their leash walking and socializing (even if we were the only ones out there 😅). These babies are 14 weeks old now and in their hilarious raptor/deer stilt leg phase. Watching them try to figure out their growing bodies is honestly one of my favorite things. It won’t be long before they’re over 100 lbs of pure muscle, so I’m soaking in these gangly moments!

Mom Akila, Dad Apollo, and Grandma Faith are all doing great and loving these babies as much as we do. I swear watching them teach and guide the pups is like having our own live version of Animal Planet right in our backyard. 🐾 Currently, we’re working on getting the command “sit” down. They respond well with the hand gesture, but we’re practicing with just the verbal cue so they’re sharp even when they’re out of sight or too distracted to look at us.

On another note, Honor (formerly pink collar) was purchased by her wonderful new family a few weeks ago, and they’ve named her Makena! We’ll be keeping her a little longer since they’re out of state, and she’s now rocking a purple collar. That leaves Liberty Bell (yellow collar) as our last pup looking for her perfect forever home. I haven’t advertised her at all because, well… I’m a bit in love and not quite ready to let her go 😅 But it’s time to face the music before my family stages an intervention! So, if you know of anyone looking for a wonderful Rottie girl to complete their family, let me know before I convince myself to keep her!

It's a cozy, rainy afternoon here, and all the puppies are snuggled up and fast asleep. There's something incredibly peaceful about watching them dream while the thunder rumbles outside. Moments like these make all the hard work worth it. Happy Friday, everyone!

Today was a bittersweet day at our home! Our babies had their final vet visit before heading off to their forever families. Can you believe we had 101 lbs of puppies to carry in? It wasn't easy, but totally worth it for these precious pups.

Two of these sweetie pies, Sailor and Sarg, have already gone home, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with their new families. They truly are the most perfect matches, and knowing they're in such loving hands is the best feeling in the world.

Sailor and Sarg are already being spoiled rotten, and while saying goodbye was hard, this is exactly why I do what I do. I might even get to pet sit for Sarg in a month or so, and I can’t wait to see how much he’s grown.

These moments make all the hard work worth it. Here’s to many more happy homes for our little bundles of joy! 🐾❤️ 🐾

Lucky for y'all I can't keep every single one of these babies because I want to 😅 I'm not even going to lie, I've certainly had favorites from previous litters, obviously their daddy Apollo being one... but honest to God the best litter I've ever seen. Every single one of these babies is something special. This is going to be a hard goodbye this time.

Happy 8 weeks to these absolute cutie pies!! Who wouldn't want to be greeted by these faces when walking into the room?! These babies are having potential new families come meet them this weekend and it's definitely going to be hard to part with this crew. I don't know what I'm going to do when I'm no longer woken up in the morning by 7 puppies jumping on me and giving me kisses to let me know they're ready for breakfast. I love every single one of them with my whole heart and pray they go to the most perfect, loving homes where they're a cherished part of the family. They're each something very special for sure ❤
