Almost 400 Susquehanna Valley regional FFA students, their advisors and chaperones had the opportunity to spend a few hours with Dr Temple Grandin including a presentation, quality Q&A time, and had the chance to buy books and have them signed and take photos. They were treated to an industry sponsored lunch of cheese and pepperoni pizza, milk, cookies, and water from American Dairy Association Northeast, Center for Beef Excellence, PA Pork Producers Council, Dairy Farmers of America. Thanks to Danville FFA and Bloomsburg Fair Association for hosting in conjunction with my veterinary practice, Valley Mobile Veterinary Service.

It was so great to see the students smiling and enjoying the day and seeing so many familiar faces. ♥️

It was crazy as the event grew in its planning, but so worth it to see a crowded room!

Spending the day on the road with Dr Kathleen Rhoads from Centre Herd Health was amazing last week! Dr Rhoads is a PSU Department of Veterinary & Biomedical Sciences at Penn State graduate before attending veterinary school at University of Pennsylvania. We completed our Dairy Production Medicine Certificate Course together at Penn State from 2010-2012.

We had a great day serving the dairy and beef producers of Central PA with both routine and emergency calls and catching up on personal updates and stories in the truck! I was glad to help her serve her producers! ♥️

I spent a day over spring break with the local large animal veterinary practice assisting with farm calls. It was fun to see my veterinary lab equipment going strong in their office! ♥️

I see signs of spring! These are the easiest-keeping HPAI biosecure chicks in PA. ☺️. They were my grandmother's yard decorations many years ago.

They don't lay eggs, but they are HOA approved and don't wake the neighbors at sunrise. 😉

Another successful day on the road for the Center for Dairy Excellence Animal Care Workshops in Lancaster County. There are 3 more meetings in April for the northern tier, northwestern PA, and central PA areas! Be sure to register! I even wore my cow socks to celebrate the beautiful weather today!

Kudos to these 2 undergraduate Penn State students who milk at a dairy farm who came on spring break for their FARM trainings.
