Remember: when puppies go home-I do not consider them "crate trained" but I work on "crate familiarization"
They should be comfortable and seek refuge and rest in their crate. Recently on outtings several have sought out the crate on their own when they were "done".
I've had people say "I'd NEVER cage my dog!"
These aren't human children and a big part of intigrating into new homes is learning the rules and not being overwhelmed. A crate gives them space for just that.
Crates keep them ( and your furniture)safe and allow existing pets to get comfortable with a new sibling.
Here some puppies put themselves to bed, so it brought this topic to mind.

TT has been soooooo glitchy! I had to repost this so many times! Ug. Anyway final stop on our outting today was a trip to Tacoma Narrows Park, where i am generally the only person there- but not today. Puppies had fun making new friends right and left.
