IT’S PRIME DAY!!! 🎉🎈

Today and tomorrow, Amazon is offering a discount on many items.

As you may know, supplies are a number 1 cost for us and many other rescues.

One of SAYv’s programs is to help other underserved shelters and areas. You may often see us post about animals in a rural area of Oklahoma. Dogs and cats in this area run around the streets. People leave them in boxes on the side of the road. There is little access to vet services, let alone affordable vet care. The dog shelter is still called the “dog pound” and it’s nothing more than a garage with no address. This area needs HELP. Many areas need help.

We send supplies, including:
- Food
- Flea and tick meds
- Deworming meds
- Potty pads and more!

FOSTERS NEEDED‼️

Here are some pups that still need fosters in the Chicagoland area.

🐶 Bobbi, Little Dude, Huey and Goliath are about 4 months old.

🐶 Renee is their momma! Age unknown.

🐶 Loco is a senior chi-jack russel mix. He is about 9 years old.

🐶 Dolly is a Boston terrier/pittie mix. Estimated at a little over one year old.

They’re all dog friendly from what we’ve been told.

If you live in the Chicagoland area and you could foster one of these babies please let us know!! They are currently in a very rural area of Oklahoma, constantly facing risk of being stolen, hit by cars, or attacked by other dogs. We are their only hope.

This area of OK is particularly struggling 😞. Too many animals, not enough resources.

Mama Lacie is very sweet and dog friendly. Her babies are about 4 weeks old.

PARVO IS THE WORST‼️

As you may know, SAYv Animal Organization does its best to support animals in a rural area of Oklahoma - Antlers, OK.

Animals here are in deplorable conditions, and a vast majority of homeless animals don’t make it out alive. The area has “dog pounds,” as opposed to official shelters. They are often kept in garages with poor ventilation. These communities are completely underserved in the animal welfare arena. And despite several hardworking people trying to make a difference, animal homelessness is a massive problem.

A litter of 11 puppies was dumped with one of our supporters in OK.

Unfortunately, in a short amount of time they started to show symptoms of parvo… primarily, they all had lots of runny 💩. Before we knew it, the first puppy (Walter), passed away. The pup showing the second worst symptoms, Lil Dude, needed to go to the vet.

This couldn’t be done without financial support from SAYv. We agreed, and just like that, Lil Dude was in the hospital.

He was hospitalized for two days, where he received fluids, food, supportive care. He also received the new parvo antibody.

Lil Dude fought for his life, and was just released from the hospital. 👏🏻👏🏻

Now the challenge - supporting the other siblings that are starting to show symptoms. The parvo antibody is about $350 each… unfortunately way too costly without donor support.

Lil Dude’s bill alone was $877.73. 😱

Any amount you can donate to help cover Lil Dude’s bill would be much appreciated. ANY amount - $5, $10, $15. 🙏

Yay Honey!! 👏🏻

Meet H O N E Y 🍯🐝

Honey joined the all the way from Oklahoma.

She’s from the rural area we’ve been trying to support for quite some time. Unfortunately, due to the loss of an essential local volunteer’s participation and the loss of the key transport support… it’s been harder than EVER to help 😔. BUT we haven’t given up. We send supplies when we can, and we take in doggies when we can.

Honey is one doggie we really wanted to SAYv, and thanks to an amazing foster, we FINALLY could.

Honey is about 4 years old and a whopping ~90 pounds. Before she was safe, Honey found herself at the local “dog pound.” This beautiful girl was pregnant and unfortunately lost all 15 babies 😢😢. Thankfully, Honey was rescued by a local animal lover, where she patiently waited for rescue support for over a year. 😔

…. She finally made her way to Chicagoland!

This girl is getting settled into her foster home and is doing great thus far.
