In January, we said goodbye to our Lola girl. I haven’t been able to post about her, talk about her, think about her without becoming an emotional mess since then. This dog…she was something special and I was very bonded with her. City Veterinary Service were incredible in caring for her and for us as we said goodbye. Heaven Lee Companion Aquamation provided incomparable care of Lola and keepsakes of her life that we will treasure.
Underdog Bakery is coming to an end. Partially because other responsibilities in our lives have squeezed out the time necessary to run our small business, and partially because I have found it very difficult to make treats and cakes after losing Lola. She was a big inspiration in starting Underdog Bakery after all.
We will move out of our space at the end of April.
Thank you so much to all who have supported Underdog Bakery. We have met so many wonderful people and feel so lucky to have been a part of making doggies and their people happy.

Hi everyone!

Happy Valentine’s Day 🩷

Today I am heading into the kennels for a LIVE fundraiser! My goal is raise $2500 between 10AM-12PM for the GHHS emergency medical fund, Pitch In Pets 🐾

I will be introducing some adoptables, speaking about some upcoming events, and what GHHS has in store for 2024!

A BIG “Thank You” to Bo Cochran Agencies for helping me in this effort by starting the donations with a $100 pledge! And to Underdog Bakery for providing Valentine treats to the pups at GHHS!

We want to let everyone know how much we appreciate all the support we have received for our small business! Our small business is now going to become a micro business! 😂 At least for now! You will continue to be able to find our treats University Pickers-Huntsville in the Underdog Bakery space. We will no longer be taking orders, but don’t worry! If you already have an order on our calendar, we will be fulfilling all of those orders. Although other responsibilities are dominating our lives right now, we are happy we can continue Underdog Bakery on a small scale at University Pickers!

Late night prepping for the last two markets of our Christmas season! We will be at The Orion Amphitheater for The Last Minute Holiday Market from 11-4 this Saturday and then again at The Orion on Wednesday, Dec. 20 from 4-9 for the Santa Paws event! We hope you’ll come see us to pick out something special for your pup!

Day 11! Advent calendars are my favorite and my granddaughter and I have been opening up each day’s new piece from her Playmobil one! It is the cutest with everything a baker needs to make yummy dog treats!

It’s day 10! We have just returned from picking our dogs up at Paradise Pet Resort in Madison. A big thank you to the staff there! They do a wonderful job and we can travel without worries! We love being able to view our dogs through their webcams! Highly recommend!! We hope your pups loved their blueberry banana oatmeal bears as much as ours did!!
