I have been doing this for over 6 years and also a USDA certified transporter. My name is Jo and I currently live in Albany, Louisiana. After retirement, I made it my goal to “Trap, Neuter, & Release” (TNR) over 80 cats a month for one simple reason. . . I have been doing this for over 6 years and also volunteer as a USDA certified transporter. With my own money, I bought a van and had it tailored
for this very purpose and believe me it has been put to good use! If you would like to help me in my mission by volunteering your time and/or donations it would greatly appreciated as doing this type of work is very hard and requires an extraordinary amount of time, money, & patience.
-Volunteer: If you would like to volunteer your time, please send me a message via messenger or email me at [email protected].
-Donate: If you would like to help me continue in my goal of helping to reduce the homeless cat population it would be greatly appreciated. The expenses go toward gas for travel (ouch!), tuna/canned cat food, blankets, traps, & maintenance on my van. All of this I do on a retirement income out of my own pocket. If you would like to help me in my goal you can send donations via venmo.com/joan-heuer or contact me via Messenger or email for other donation options. Thanks so much!
- Need help with getting cats spayed/neutered, you can contact me via DM on Messenger or by email. I will also list more low costs spay/neuter info below.
*update: Due to the increase in gas prices, I haven’t been able to hit my goal of 80 cats a month, but I am still trying to do as many as I can. The cost of everything has just gone up so much. For example, a trip to transport cats to CAA to get them fixed is around 300 miles round trip. The cost to fill up the van is about $70. I am still managing to catch about 50-60 cats a month but unfortunately can no longer help in transporting from shelters to rescues at all due to gas prices. So, any donations would really help.
