Juniper will need a quiet family with some patience. Juniper is very timid and shy and would do best in a home with a calmer dog or submissive dog. A dominate dog or a very hyper dog will not be good for her. She is still working on her confidence and being in a home. She loves human attention and affection and is so happy to be talked to/ pet that she can barely contain her excitement she just wiggles everywhere. She loves playing with the dogs but too many dogs can be overwhelming for her. Right now she will only eat in her crate at night when her foster family are in bed. She is going to need a family that can really boost her self confidence and work with her. She has had no accidents in her crate or in the house for a couple of weeks. As long as her house training is consistent she will continue to be successful at going potty outside. Juniper is going to make a great companion if you want to put in the work to earn her trust. She just needs more one on one and a dedicated family.

Nala, She will reel you in quick and have you falling in love with her in no time. She’s pretty low key and quiet. She enjoys her toys and chewing on them. Nala loves everybody. She’s been around big and little dogs with no issues. She is crate trained and does well with going outside to potty on a schedule. If you are looking for a Netflix and chill bestie, Nala is the one. She will need a fenced in backyard as she is not comfortable being on a leash. She is not fond of car rides they stress her out and it’s difficult for her to relax. She is not gonna be good for someone who is on the go. Between the car and not walking on a leash, She is gonna be at her best being at home and having her person home with her more often than not. With training she may do well on a leash but it’ll take some conditioning. Nala did have some “lick granulomas” between her toes at intake but they have since healed with medicated wipes.

Yesterday I picked up the cutest little 2.5 pound surprise! Welcome “UNO” to the rescue. Uno is 8 weeks old. He was injured by one of his litter mates and has an eye ulcer. He has a recheck in 1 week to see how his eye is healing. We are hopeful he gets to keep his eye. His eye will always have a scar but what the heck… who cares 🤷🏼‍♀️. Uno also has campylobacter which is a bacteria that causes diarrhea. Keeping him clean and sanitary is key to getting rid of that nasty stuff!… I’m not sure my life will ever be diarrhea free in Frenchie rescue 🫠. Uno has a little runny nose so he is in quarantine for now while he gets better.

Welcome Mr. I’m gonna steal your girl “Denton”. He is 10 months old. Denton is a handsome New shade chocolate 🤩…. With “rare” colors comes??? You got got it! …. Skin issues 🫠. His skin is ye**ty and hopeful it’s just a skin infection that can be easily cleared medicated baths.

Welcome 3.5 year old Nala to the rescue. Nala is a retired breeding mom. She settled into her foster home today and is quite the catch! She’s shy right now but very friendly. She will be ready for adoption August 9th. We are still learning about her but I think she’s going to make a quick transition out of rescue into a home!

Mikey is looking for his forever BFF. He is 11.5 months old and full of personality. Mikey is a Frenchie mix and only weighs 18 pounds. He is so cuddly and fun! He will fit into any family but an active family would be ideal. Mikey loves to go for walks and sniff EVERYTHING. He is healthy with no known health concerns. He is male dog selective and only likes non dominate/neutered males. He is fine with female dogs. He has been such a fun foster! His face expressions & puppy eyes will steal your heart.

Over 1K followers and only 19 shares…. Please share to get these girls some publicity. They are ready to find their forever family. I know it’s harder to find a place for 2 but they are the perfect duo and are going to make someone very happy. They are so easy going & loving. Very well behaved. The perfect companions.

Mahcha & Luna are a bonded pair of sisters ready for their next adventure. These sisters have been shuffled around a few times with no fault of their own. They are each others security blanket. The do EVERYTHING together. They are so loving and cuddly. They absolutely love belly rubs and are pretty persistent for them. They are 100% house broke. Although they are crate trained there is no need for a crate. They are so well behaved they do not need to be crated. They came into rescue with some hair loss and scabs on their backs but are doing much better. They do have mild allergies that are controlled with occasional baths and diet so far. Luna had pretty rough ears when she came into rescue and had to have surgery to remove some of the hyperplasia growths that were covering her ear canals. She is hard of hearing but can hear some. They were not fenced in their previous home but for safety it would be best to have a fenced area for the girls since Luna is hearing impaired. With time she may regain some more hearing but only time will tell. They are pretty unbothered by other dogs and really just stick together. They are each others companions.
Luna (mostly white) Mahcha (pied face). They are very “EASY” dogs to take care of.

Diet: Purina One venison & Turkey.

For the summer “Ruffle” We only had 5 participants. There will be no drawing as each won what what they bought tickets for. BUT, we had donations. Some decided to simply donate instead of entering for a prize. Together we were able to raise $480 towards Stu’s Surgery. We do have a ways to go on funding. We will keep pushing on!!! Thank you all for you support.

2 new intakes. Welcome Cedar & Juniper to the Rescue.

🍃Juniper (On hold) is 1.5 year old red fawn female French Bulldog … She found herself in rescue after puncturing all 5 of her babies last night 😭. I guess that’s one way to get early retirement… In all seriousness though stress & anesthesia can cause new moms to do this... it’s the sad reality of mills. She did fine with her first litter but the second just wasn’t in the cards for her. She was no longer a “good mom”. That’s okay though she can be a good pet now instead.

🌲 Cedar (In a foster to adopt home) is a 4 year old Isabella Merle covered in cream French Bulldog and retired from his studding days. Cedar is the most handsome good boy. He’s a BIG boy 35-40 pounds (just a little larger than originally estimated).

OTHER FRENCHIES IN OUR CARE ⤵️

🌺 Tansy (Adopted) is a 4 year old blue & tan French Bulldog that was recently retired after a c-section followed by a uterine infection “pyometra”. She was spayed upon ER at intake. She is a cuddle bug and settling into her foster home.

🌸 Sophia (ADOPTED) is a Cream 3 year old French Bulldog that was retired because she wasn’t a “good mom” but she is an excellent foster! She is her foster moms little velcro dog.

🌙 Mahcha & Luna pied French Bulldog sisters (Available). They are are 4 years old. They found themselves in rescue after thier owners couldn’t care for them anymore due to work, ect…

🐸 Little Mikey (ADOPTED) is 11 months old. He is a fawn “Frug” (Frenchie/pug). He is an owner surrender. His owner found that working out of town wasn’t fair to Mikey and surrendered him. Unfortunately he came in with Giardia but he is recovering!

🛑 I will post more about each dog when we get to know them a little better.

Little Mikey isn’t very fond of pictures nor sitting still. We worked on some basic skills today (sit, stay). He is catching on pretty quick! He LOVES walks! Working on the crate barking with a bark collar because…. 🙉🥴. He is crate trained and will not potty in his crate. He was not trained with manners so he thinks he can do what he wants 🙃. Shaping him into an adoptable dog real quick though 😁. He is a really sweet good boy. He just needs some one on one training and time.

NEWEST INTAKES *Adopted*

Today was a little more eventful than anticipated. Meet the newest intakes Tansy (blue & tan) and Sophia (cream). Tansy was surrendered due to a “urinary” problem… BUT, turns out she had an infected uterus (pyometra) causing vaginal discharge and had to be spayed upon emergency today. Sophia was retired from breeding because she wasn’t a “good mom”. Both girls are settling in and Tansy is recovering from surgery. They are both healthy girls with no known health issues. Tansy will be 4 in July and Sophia is 3. Sophia has a spay appt scheduled for July 15th and will need transported to and from her appointment in Canton by her foster. Otherwise she is fully vetted. Tansy is fully vetted and just needs a couch to crash on while she heals and is ready for adoption.

UPDATE: The Doxies are in foster to adopt homes and will not be available for adoption unless circumstances change. Thank you all who reached out and offered to help these babies! They are already doing great in their foster to adopt homes and fitting in with the new families just fine. There just weren’t enough Doxies to go around although there were plenty of GREAT choices for homes. They have been shifted around a few times in thier 3 years of life and they won’t have to go through that again. They are home.

Not frenchies but I’ve got 2 dachshunds. The female may be pregnant. 3 years old Owner surrender they just couldn’t care for them as needed due to heath problems of their own and living situation. They were taken in in March so they weren’t with new owners long. Will seperate.

Today was such a busy day at work I forgot to snap before and after pics of Lunas ears.. Her doctor was able to debulk the hyperplasia tissue from her ears and she now has ear canals under all that tissue that we can treat! The ear smear showed a ton of bacteria in her ears. She is a proud new owner of steroid ear med w/antibiotic and an oral antibiotic to help clear the infections. She is at her foster with her sister resting comfortably.

After paying $500 of the account balance today the rescue is still left with a $750 bill. Stu needs a bilateral luxating patella knee surgery that is $2,700 per knee. We need to raise funds for at least 1 knee for now. The doctor is only going to fix 1 at a time.

If you can help donate these babies need your help so the rescue can continue to help others in need.

Both girls are having a vaccine reactions 😩 (vomiting, hives, sleepy). Really not unexpected for being white dogs. I always pretreat with benedryl before vaccines and did not this time 🤦🏼‍♀️ Steroids and benedryl for Luna and Mahcha. Luna is scheduled for ear surgery tomorrow. Hopefully this does not post pone her surgery. We will post pone if needed. She is having the extra tissue debulked from her outter ear canals to open them up so we can treat her ear infection. On a brighter note they are lovely girls. They ride so good in the car. They walk on leashes very well together and have the most gentle, loving personalities. They were so quiet today at the clinic. They are not super rambunctious... pretty calm, quiet girls. They are eating good and going ppotty well. They are just happy to be loved on even though they aren’t feeling good today.

It’s time for our 🏖️ Summer☀️ fundraising “Ruffle” 🐶

This fundraiser is to help one of our rescues in need of grade 4 bilateral luxating patella surgery. Stu is almost a year old now and can finally have surgery to fix his very weak and floppy back legs. He has no stability in his knees and they just kind of float behind him but are functional. His knee caps are permanently luxated and can not be manipulated back into the groove. He has very little muscle tone in his back legs from lack of proper use. Stu is not in any pain right now but his knees need to be fixed to prevent future problems like pain, arthritis, cartilage damage, and acl problems. Stu was placed in his foster to adopt home in January but due to him only being 6 months old at intake his growth was more important than surgery. He gets around really well considering. Each knee wil cost around $2,700 to fix. Stu will also be neutered after his surgeries.
