I’m not sure how to interpret this message other than SPAM. If the rescue page happens to be deleted by tomorrow at 9am so be it. There are no other factors other than this message in my inbox with a strange user name suggesting it to be a legit message. I will not be looking more into it. If the rescue page gets deleted we will unfortunately have to start a new page from scratch and followers will have to find the rescue by searching for a similar name with something extra added to the end of the rescue name. I will not have any other way of informing followers other than followers checking back in tomorrow to see if the rescue page still exists. To lose a following and all the work the rescue has done would be devastating but we can build back up the page and followers over time. As inconvenient and annoying this may be for the rescue and for future dogs in need of homes… it will be possible just a slow and daunting task. If this page does get deleted I will restart a new page under a similar name like “FRENCHIE TO THE RESCUE NE OHIO” if aloud.

If this page gets deleted and you want to continue to follow you can e-mail the rescue after checking in to see if this one still exists. I will be able to direct you on where to follow in the future via e-mail if necessary.

E-mail: [email protected]

Screenshot/save the rescue e-mail now in case things go south and we have to start over.

Thank you all for your continued support over the years to help build such a wonderful network of friends! I hope to still see you all tomorrow on our current page.

If you have adopted a dog from the rescue and this is our only way to communicate you can message me and I will send you my personal FB or phone number so we can keep in touch if things go south. For the most part all previous adopters do have my phone number or personal FB. If not please message me and I will send you info on how we can stay in contact.

As of today, all dogs have been adopted, and we currently do not have any available dogs. We appreciate your patience and encourage you to monitor our page for future intakes.

GOODMORNING! ☀️

You guys 🥹 Beanie has officially been ADOPTED. Beanie went home with her forever family yesterday. Her new mom works at veterinary clinic which is a huge advantage for Beans and her future care.

Her new mom says she slept great last night. She is playing this morning, went potty outside and ate a little. Her new family are taking things very slow and letting her lead the way.

It took a network of followers and friends to come together and help her along the way. Thank you all who donated and shared Beanie through her 9 week process of healing and growth. You guys weren’t only able to help with 1 of her surgeries but 2! With that Beanie, her foster parents and I thank you. What incredible foster parents she had…. So much love, dedication and selflessness ❤️.

🎉 ADOPTED ~ Another foster fail ❤️ 🎉

It’s very rare that a little beauty like Willow gets returned to rescue. Under unfortunate circumstances Willow is back with us in foster care. Her adoptive mom became ill after adopting Willow. After making a hard choice thought it was best Willow find a new family to love her for the rest of her young life. Willows foster mom is going to work hard on her potty training and work on some commands with her. She has been doing well with her housetraining but will need more practice. She will be up for adoption again in a few weeks as long as she is thriving. She is young, playful and very much so in love with life. But, she is also unsure of new surrendondings and people and will need to gain some confidence.

It’s been a while since we have had a foster fail. After fostering many frenchies for the rescue Simon’s foster family is now his adoptive family! Simon knew what to do and that was to be an instant good boy. Welcome home Simon. I can’t wait to watch you grow and terrorize your new fam with your frenchie quirks. The best days are yet to come. 🩵

🎉 ADOPTED 🎉

Beanie AKA Bean Bean or Beanie Baby is available for adoption. Beanie is a sweet little 3.5 year old tripod (3 legged) Boston Terrier. She is also a fashionista! Beanie needs a home with few stairs or someone willing to carrier her upstairs, she goes down just fine. But has not mastered going up steps. She can do a few steps going in and outside. She must be able to sleep with her Human(s). She will not have it any other way and will protest by chewing on her cage and cry. She is a noisy sleeper so you must not be bothered by snoring. She needs a home with a calm smaller dog that will share all the stuffed animals (she is a stuffy hoarder). She can be possessive over her stuffies so sharing isn’t always her favorite. But she does need a dog that will respect the fact that she has a small handicap and can be a little unstable at times as she’s relearning how to balance herself. She can be an only dog if someone is home most of the time. I don’t think Beanie would do well in a home with full time working parents as she is used to be being with her work from home foster mom. She is afraid of new places and will be very shy and skittish, it will take her a while to feel comfortable. If put in the right situation the office life may suit her if allowed. Beanie likes to be with her human. She will snuggle right up to you on the couch. Beanie does not mind being picked up, carried, held or smooched! She deserves to be doted over really. She prefers to be smothered with affection. She’s a very affectionate girl. No fence is required for Beanie but for safety homes without fences will be evaluated. She goes out does her business and wants right back in. Potty training is going okay… most of her accidents are at the door. She is quick and does not give any warning. A regular potty routine is best. Beanie is crate trained but prefers not to be left for long periods of time. She will definitely need a comfy bed to lay on in her crate. Beanie loves everyone she meets, and they love her. She’s is all around a little dream of a companion. She is sweet and has so much emotion in her heart and eyes. She does need a carpeted home or a home with lots of rugs for grip since she is a tripod. She would prefer a calm quieter home. She is chill and prefers to live out retirement relaxed! She is on a daily joint supplement to keep her remaining rear leg joints strong and healthy as it does have to take on more work now. Beanie is an easy dog and very resilient! If your looking for a little BFF Beanie is your girl. Most of Beanies pictures are before leg amputation.

Beanies journey into rescue has not been as smooth and straight forward as we had hoped. She came to us as a retired breeding mom. The previous breeder stated that she had a lump on her “hip” region of her leg and that it was a cyst that fluid was able to be aspirated from. So, cool right?! Easy peasy! Remove the lump when she gets spayed. When her doctor was excising the lump it didn’t appear to be a cyst and was an irregular mass. Her doctor was unable to remove the mass completely. Her mass was sent out for biopsy and came back as a subcutaneous mast cell tumor. She was sent to an oncologist for evaluation. The mass was growing back and aggressive. With many options presented and careful thought… the only way to ensure the “cancer” would be completely removed was amputating her leg. This decision was not taken lightly. Most subcutaneous mast cell tumors are focal and removing them is curative if proper margins are taken. The only way to get proper margins was amputation. So far we have seen no regrowth 🙏🏼. This does mean in the future if she does get any more lumps and bumps they should be evaluated and potentially removed while they are small so proper margins can be taken from the site. we are hopeful that Beanie will live out a full, happy, healthy life!

PLEASE PRIVATE MESSAGE ME WITH INTERESTS IN ADOPTING BEANIE. I WILL NOT RESPOND TO COMMENTS.

🎉 ADOPTED 🎉

We have an ornery little boy in the house! Welcome 7 month old Simon to the rescue. Simon is a fluffy carrier with a fluffy coat and longer muzzle which makes for good breathing! He was very scared and unsure upon intake. As soon as he was placed in his holding pen and given some toys… He decided that rope toys and stuffies belong in the cemetery 😅. Simon was surrendered because his one ear is floppy and he has/had a hernia. I can not physically see or feel a hernia. Simon will be vetted and neutered Friday and placed in a foster home.

🎉 ADOPTED 🎉

This adorable little Shih Tzu is ready for her new home. She is 3 years old. Willow follows her foster mom everywhere and wants picked up and to be held when she has the oppotunity. She loves playing with toys and loves treats! Willow will potty outside well on a leash. She does use the puppy pads inside when she has “accidents” when her foster mom isn’t paying attention to potty ques. She will need a secure fence with no gaps or holes because she can fit through small spaces/gaps. She can go to a home without a fence if she is strictly leash walked outside supervised. NO tie outs. She is a tiny little girl weighing in at only 7 pounds! She has really wanted to play with her foster brother but he’s decided at his retirement age he prefers to be the one and only. So that being said she would do great with a playmate or fine alone as a companion pet. She has only been crated for short periods of time but has done well in her crate with no accidents. Willow wasn’t the best for her grooming appointment… the clippers were scary. With a patient groomer and regular visits she can learn to enjoy spa days.

🎉 ADOPTED

Junie is 2 years old (Nov 5, 2022) and looking for her forever. Junie was adopted a few months ago but unfortunately is looking for a new place to call home. The big dog in the home isn’t adjusting to her. He hides in the corner and has lost weight since she’s arrived. He is depressed and it’s not fair to him. After months of trying and hoping he’d come around to the idea of a sister he’s just not. Non of this is her fault. But, for his sake it is best for thier household to return to normal so he can be healthy and happy.

Junies mom loves her to pieces and this decision was not taken lightly. Junie loves her other brother in thier home. They wrestle, play and have become best buds. Junie is cuddly and all around perfect per her mom. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. She is leash walked and does her business well on a leash. Junie will seldom have an accident and goes to the door when she has to go out. She was good for her vet visit and a champ for her nail trim recently. If you think Junie would be a good fit for your family please private message me and we can chat further about her and the process for adoption.

This busy little butterfly was impossible to get pics of today after intake. She was a busy blur while checking the place out. Today this little 3.5 year old 7 pound shih tzu was retired from breeding. She is in a foster to adopt home and will not be available for adoption unless she is not a good fit for her foster brother.

🦋 UPDATE ON BEANIE 🦋

Beanie saw the Oncologist today. Her foster and I were given a few different options for treatment of her MCT. Radiation is out of the question. Although I would have loved to choose that route… the estimate for radiation was $5,000-$8,000. Unless there is a miracle we just do not have the funds and it’s still not a guarantee that the tumor will not grow back. The chemo injections and other treatments are less likely to work due to the invasive nature of her tumor even though her mitotic count is low. Another skin removal surgery is not an option because she does not have enough skin to remove around the current incision. The surgeon said he can only remove another 1cm around and 2cm is needed to get good margins. We have opted to amputate her little leg as a life saving measure to get rid of the cancer cells that remain. This isn’t a decision taken lightly nor was it an easy one to make. To be honest it makes me half sick thinking of having to remove her leg but we are running out of time and we do not have time. Her leg needs to come off to save her. She can live a good quality life as a tripod and will adjust. She is less likely to have tumor reoccurrence elsewhere. The Oncologist said these tumors usually do not tend to grow/spread elsewhere on the body.

I want to send a shout out to all who have donated to help Beanie! We have enough funds for her surgery and I thank you for your generosity and kindness. Keep Beanie in your thoughts and send her lots of love while she navigates through a new adjustment in her life. Her surgery is scheduled for next week. Her foster family will take the best care of her and nurse precious Beanie back to health.

⚠️ drawing closed
We got beanies biopsy results back today and unfortunately the results are not as expected. Her mass is classified as a subcutaneous mast cell tumor. In her case the tumor is classified as a more aggressive variant. I am waiting for a call back from the Oncology department at Metro to get her in for assessment/treatment options…. This is devastating news. Right now we just have to pull ourselves together and keep our heads held high as we hope for a better interpretation/news from the oncologist than the biopsy results state. Here’s the next hurdle. Funds will be depleted after her visit to the Oncologist and I can only do what I can for her financially as funds allow. This is a time I beg for your help to help us raise some funds for the rescue so we can help Beanie the best we can. If she needs to go under any chemo treatment or supportive care there will be no money left to treat her. She is happy and has no idea anything could potentially be wrong. She is young and thriving. We will continue to hope for better news as we navigate through this.

Each donation of $10 will get you entered to win one of these very cute frenchie lots of merch! There will be 3 winners. 1st winner will get first choice, 2nd will get second choice and 3rd will win the remainder merch. Please help if you can. I know it’s close to the holiday and funds are tight for most. If you can give $10 Beanie needs your help.

🎉 ADOPTED 🎉

Introducing our newest intake “Arnie”. This handsome little heart throb is 5 years old and roughly 26-28 pounds. He is a retired breeding stud. He is a beautiful Lilac & Tan with a wide chest and stubby legs. With a little scrubbing and a nail trim he’s feeling like a dapper gentleman. He was a social little butterfly straight out of his holding kennel at the breeding facility. He’s going to be a joy to have! He will be neutered December 31st and ready to ring in the year with a new family. The few hours that he’s been out of the mill he has wanted pet, picked up balls, carried his stuffy, played with his very large Rotty foster brother, and lounged on the couch. As he decompresses we will get to know him and update the page with his cuteness as necessary.

ON MEDICAL HOLD. NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT THIS TIME.
