Found this is lost dog on my morning walk today. She does not have a microchip and I’ve just dropped her off at San Jose Animal Care Center. They are at capacity - does anyone have room to keep her for a bit while we wait to see if she his a family that’s looking for her? They will provide food and bedding. She’s very sweet and friendly. I feel so bad leaving her but I can’t keep her with my dog and cat in my small space.

Post holiday YBFF dinner at La Fondue! This was our first REALLY BUSY holiday season since the pandemic and we are so happy clients are traveling again. Thank you to all of our clients who have continued to support us - we are close to celebrating 14 years in business and we are so grateful you continue to choose us to care for your fur babies. 🐾 We love them like our own. Co-regulation is a key part of healing trauma.

And the reality is some people just don’t feel safe with humans. They’re more guarded. Their body remembers and shut down. Or, goes into fight or flight.

Pets offer co-regulation with complete trust. They are masters at just being. I’m a big believer of a future where pets will be a part of all trauma healing.

Find small times in your day to just lay with or cuddle your pet. Watch them sleep comfortably. It will send cues of safety to your body.

Kittens available for adoption!

One of our clients is fostering these three adorable kittens available for adoption. These cuties are getting spayed/neutered on 10/6 and will be available to go to loving indoor homes 10/10. They are available from SJ Animal Center but can contact our client directly first if interested in adopting.

Nine weeks old - they are all very friendly, cuddly, and love people!

Did you know that you can take shelter dogs on field trips when visiting Maui or Kauai? What a wonderful win-win situation… humans traveling can get some doggy love and the adoptable dogs get outside for the day. I had a great time hanging with Chunky Meatball on Maui and Kiki on Kauai. I highly recommend this experience to anyone interested. It feels good to give back while on vacation! Both of these sweetheart pups are available for adoption, inquire in the following profiles.
