Auckland Cavy Care rescue, rehabilitate and rehome guinea pigs to loving forever homes - and sometimes rabbits too! We visited Purrs & Beans NZ this morning with a special delivery from our Enriched Home™ range! Purrs & Beans is Auckland’s longest-running cat cafe and sanctuary to rescue kitties! With a full beverage menu on offer, along with snacks, you’ll be able to enjoy a cup of tea with your cat cuddle! If you’re looking to adopt a feline friend, there is a dedicated foster room on site with wonderful cats waiting to meet their forever families!

Our Mightycat Adoption Room has gotten a wee makeover thanks to Enriched Animals 😻 It’s all locally made, modular and looks great! We love supporting other fellow NZ small businesses especially ones who share the same ethos as us 🥰

At Purrs & Beans, we are passionate advocates for indoor-only lifestyle. With a little bit of effort from us humans, it is entirely possible for cats to live a happy and fulfilled life indoors.

Our cat areas have been decked out with cats in mind, taking inspiration largely from Jackson Galaxy and Hauspanther who promote the art of ‘catification’ - creating spaces in the home that encourages cats to live their best ‘raw cat’ selves and still challenges them the way the outdoors does, but safely, all while still being aesthetically pleasing 💖

From design to implementation, an important aspect for our team was to ensure that the Enriched Home™ collection is inclusive of senior companion animals and those with limited mobility.

We have found that ramps designed for smaller animals are often too steep or narrow, which is problematic for larger breeds or those with mobility issues. Our ramp has been developed with all small animals in mind, and fitted with a non-slip mat to ensure your companion animal can explore comfortably!

Hay plays such a vital role in a rabbit’s life, so we have developed a litter box with hay feeder as a solution to keep hay clean and dry! High sides ensure litter remains inside the box, while a low entry provides comfort and ease of access - particularly helpful for senior buns or those with mobility issues! 🐾

The Saving Hope Foundation is one of New Zealand’s largest no-kill dog rescue organisations. Since its commencement, Saving Hope has rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed over 1,500 dogs – and that number keeps growing! With the motto, ‘No Dog Left Behind’, Saving Hope work to ensure that every dog receives the help and care that it needs, irrespective of cost.
