Every Tuesday from 4pm - 5pm we offer shots and microchipping at our Training Center located on the first floor of our Services Building, behind the Adoption Center.

Pre-registration is required, walk-ins are not accepted. Make sure to secure your spot! Visit "ProvidenceAC.org/VaccineClinics" and click on “Vaccine Clinic Appointment” and choose your time slot for any Tuesday in September: 3, 10, 17, 24.

✨Shots range from $10-30 and $38 per microchip, includes lifetime registration.

Vaccines offered:
Dewormer, Distemper, Bordetella (canines only), Rabies, Lepto, Lyme, and FeLV (felines only).

Bumpy moment wound up a happy ending: A bonded pair of Parakeets was unexpectedly relinquished to Phoenix Animal Rescue (we are grateful to PAR for providing shelter & care!). One of those Parakeets had actually been adopted from ROAR. So thankful Jill reached out to us about adopting a bonded pair! We immediately referred her to PAR. And YAY! Marshmallow and Snowy are happy in their new home! 🩷🐦🐦🩷🐦‍🔥🩷🦁

Community Cat Rando has had a long summer. First, his tail had to be amputated. He had to be neutered and vaccinated. Then yesterday, Rando showed up with a mess of a hind paw. P.A.L.S. is taking the lead in managing his case (because they are pawesome! 🫶🐈‍⬛). ROAR was able to contact VRC and help the Good Samaritan by paying down the ever-growing veterinary invoice. .a.l.s

🎣Calling all fishers!

This Great Blue Heron was found in Lafayette Hill where a community of concerned birders and wildlife enthusiasts noticed he was behaving strangely. Thankfully, they reached out to us and Wildlife in Need, a volunteer group of wildlife capture and transport specialists, who picked him up and brought him to the Schuylkill Center Wildlife Clinic. He came in emaciated and weak. Our expert staff are providing him the best care, but he is not eating well because naturally, Great Blue Herons prefer live fish.

That's where we need your help. If you are a fisher or you know one, please help us get live fish for our young Great Blue Heron. We are not particular about species but small trout, perch, smelt or bass would be perfect. Live fish will also help him improve his hunting skills, which he will need to prove before he can be released. Please deliver donations of fish to 304 Port Royal Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19128 between 9am and 6pm.
