Hey everyone! We are sorry for the delay but we have some pictures from the show we received recently. We are also tentatively planning our next event. What was something you liked, disliked, or would like to see improved? We are looking at early August on a Friday night. Would anyone be interested in a “husband class” (a short class for non horsey significant others and friends). Feel free to message or comment. We want to hear all of your feedback!

We just finished organizing our prizes. This isn’t even everything. The prize table will be in the saloon so everyone can come in and look at the prizes to warm up. The food truck is also planning on setting up inside so we can limit the amount of doors open to stay warm. Registration and warmup open starts at 4 and the show starts with the national anthem and flag presentation by Abby Williams at 6:30. We are so excited to see everyone tomorrow at Kentucky Cowtown Arena

Ziva has been practicing her clapping skills. She can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with for the freestyle. We just have a few announcements before the show.

4:00 Registration and warm up start
6:00 Warm up closes for arena dragging
6:30 National Anthem and Sponsor recognition

We had a couple questions about the relay race. In order to make it fair we have decided to alter the original plan a bit. Team members will start on opposite sides of the arena. One rider will ride to the opposite side, pass a baton to their team mate while in a cone outlined box. The second rider will then ride to the other side of the arena to trigger the timer to stop.

Frequently Asked Questions about Midnight Madness

Q: What time will the show start?
A: Registration Starts at 4:00pm and the show will start at 6:30pm

Q: Will the arena be available for warm-up?
A: Yes! Warm-up will be from 4:15-6:15.

Q: What is required to show a horse at Cowtown
A: All horses are required to have a negative Coggins and riders must sign a liability wavier at registration.

Q: Will there be food available to purchase?
A: Of course! We will have the amazing Atlantic Coast Barbecue, Stay’n Salty food truck.

Q: Are there pay outs?
A: Ride-a-buck and Ride-a-five will be winner takes all, but we decided that we wanted this to be an experience you can take something away from so we decided to do prizes instead. Our prize values range from $15 to over $75 depending on what class and placing you receive, which is much higher than the average pay out.

Q: Can I sign up for the freestyle class the day of the event?
A: Yes, but your form must be turned in by 6pm the day of the event. We would suggest that you look over the form and score sheet beforehand and talk to us about your plan so we can be prepared to help you.

Q: Can Multiple people and horses work together for the freestyle?
A: Yes! We would love to see you out there showing off with your friends and horses. There will only be one prize for the winning team and you will only have to pay one entry fee.

Q: Can I lead my kids if they are not comfortable riding by themselves?
A: You can do lead line in all class except Ride-a-buck and Ride-a-five. The freestyle is also open to lead line kiddos so they can show of their skills and have fun at their own pace.
