ATTENTION ALL RUSSIAN TOY OWNERS AND BREEDERS!!🤩
We are pleased to announce that my Friend Erna Christiansen and I have been working together with The Breed Archive (TBA) to make a new public and free database for Russian toys! 🥳

After many hours of persuasion, suggesting and work we have finally made the archive a reality! 😍

The Breed Archive is a Public Database which is possible to use for FREE😱, all you need to do to add dogs is to make a free account. 🥰 If you want to have additional possibilities, there is an option to pay 3€/ month or 8€/ month. 🤗This database will have so many benefits for the breed! ☺️ It will allow us to enter dogs from all over the world which will be incredibly useful for international mating’s, and transparency about our breed.😄 It will allow us to study each dog’s individual pedigree as far back as possible! This will be a new incredible valuable tool for the Russian toy as a breed on a global scale. 😍😁

You can add pictures📸, health testing🧬, specific information about your dogℹ , size, weight, coat type etc.😇 This is a great place to store information about your own dogs and information about related dogs.👊 This site is a great tool for figuring out a Pedigree COI before a breeding is done, or to allow you to learn lines within the breed, maybe new lines you never knew existed! 👌

The database also has a tool to be able search for specific features, dogs or just scroll to photos of dogs in general 🙌

Some important information before you use the site! ❗
1. Some dogs have a variety of names, for example in regard to spelling differences,❗ Erna and I have tried our best to make sure we have the correct dog with spelling, please make sure Registration number, date of birth etc. matches the correct dog as possible that you’re trying to enter or edit.🤝
2. Some dogs also have the same name as well, please make sure other markers, registration number, ancestors and so on matches correctly. ⚠️

To clear some other things as well😄
1. Preferably the owner or breeder of individual dogs should add health information 💊. If anyone else has information on other dogs they can add it as well, just make sure it is correct and verified information, preferably with some proof like from a kennel club website. 💪
2. So far we have added almost 700 dogs🤯 in about 2 weeks time, and it’s important we keep adding dogs but also adding health results. If you need any help, contact myself or Erna. 🥳
3. There are of course also a lot of dogs and litters missing still, so hopefully with time this database can become more and more complete if we work together! 🤝

I want to remind you that it was my and Erna’s choice to spend countless hours over the past weeks, all to better and help our breed! There could be mistakes occurring in the database, due to human error, so please if you see anything feel free to message any of us so we can try and correct it. ☺️

This is a great opportunity for us to all work together as a community for the betterment of the breed. A public database will allow everyone the opportunity to learn more about their dogs pedigrees and hopefully allow for more educated breeding decisions.🙏

Hello everyone! I am a big advocate that knowledge is among the most important things we have. Sharing information with each other and being open and honest about our dogs and breeding is so damn important. There used to be a database called Ingrus where you could upload information about Russkiy toys from all over the world, I loved being in there and digging into pedigrees as far back as I could. Unfortunately, this database is no longer available and the new one that has emerged is extremely bad. But there is an alternative. The Breed archive, an incredibly good site that is extremely good, free (but you can pay if you want to, not have to) and it is extremely organised. I urge all of you to write to them and make suggestions that Russian toy / Russkiy toy should get its own archive on their site. They create one if they see that the interest is big enough! So click on https://breedarchive.com/home/index and scroll to the bottom, fill in this blue form and click Submit!
This would be incredibly good for our breed! It works for many different breeds, Mudi just got his own and for shelties there are over 400 thousand dogs in the archive! It is absolutely a big job to enter all the dogs again, BUT if everyone just enters their dogs and their ancestors, we are at least well on our way to building a good archive again! And for those of you who wonder, why is this necessary, my countries website is so good? It is needed to be able to see dogs from different countries, to easily test test mating, to be able to easily bring in new lines, to keep the inbreeding rate (COI) as low as possible, to keep our breed as healthy possible!
