Now that she’s finished raising babies, she’s ready to be the baby of some lucky person. She is house trained, crate trained, good on leash, smart, and gentle. She’s dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly! Cici is a sweet, very low key girl who just wants to be with her person. She is a 7 year old Husky that was rescued from a puppy mill. She is an easy-going gal who loves to give kisses, go on car rides, and walks great on a leash. She has started to play with toys, too. She bonds very easily to her person. She is house trained and does not require to be crated when her humans aren’t home. CiCi needs to know what you’re up to and is a velcro dog, so don't expect much privacy;) She wants to be with you! She does well with other similar sized dogs. No small dogs or cats as she has some prey drive. She joins in with the playgroups at doggie daycare, but also can mesh with a low key dog pal. Zeus is an approximately 1 year old pitbull mix with the biggest ❤️ and most resilient spirit. Zeus came to Puppy Mill Rescue Team wheel chair bound due to a paralyzing back injury 🥹. But, after months of love and dedication from his foster family, Zeus has made a full recovery and hasn’t slowed down since. Zeus’s favorite things are running in the yard, napping on the couch, binge watching TV, and cuddling with any human available. He also loves toys🎾Zeus is good with children of all ages 👶👦 and enjoys other playful canine friends. He walks well on leash 🦮, is crate trained, potty trained, and is learning basic commands. Zeus is making up for lost puppy time by embracing all of the good things life has to offer. All Zeus needs now is his forever 🏠. Welcome puppies 🐾
Last weekend we welcomed a very pregnant young dog to one of our experienced foster homes. Her family loved her so much, but were in over their heads with an accidental pregnancy. So, they did what was best for Charli and her unborn pups and surrendered her.
Charli has been nothing but an absolute joy, and late last night she welcomed 5 more healthy bundles of joy to Puppy Mill Rescue Team! All five pups are little boys 💙

Adoptable Zeus
Sweet Zeus is an incredible success story of the things amazing foster homes are capable of. Zeus came into rescue a few months ago, without use of his back legs. He persevered through bandage changes, strength-training exercises, and has miraculously regained strength in his hind end to where he can walk, run and play on his own! As a teenage pittie we unfortunately haven’t had much interest in this boy. So you can imagine our excitement this week when he *finally* had an application and a meet and greet scheduled. Then, they ghosted his foster mom on the day of the meet 😭 Zeus deserves so much better than that! This dog lives to cuddle, is housebroken, and ready for a family to LOVE him. Puppy Mill Rescue Team prides itself on our ability to answer the call for help. Our team of fosters seem to always make it happen and pull things together ❤️ They’re the best! PMRT has fosters in Cleveland, OH and across WNY from Buffalo to Syracuse (and everywhere between). Although we aren’t a large rescue, our hearts are huge. We give attention to helping the local community in an effort to help those who support us! While there is great overpopulation everywhere, our local shelters cannot keep up with the community’s need for help with abandoned and unwanted animals. The shelters have been begging for help this year, often so overrun with dogs that they had them in cages in hallways… they needed our help!
Many times in 2024 we have taken in local owner surrenders, helped to pull dogs from local shelters when they needed a little extra TLC, and worked to find a way to help when dogs were out of other options. We come together and they find a forever home! Advocacy, education, and community support are all so important in the rescue world. We try our best to help the local community when we can, and in turn have created such an amazing network of supporters. Thank you for always being part of the Puppy Mill Rescue Team Family and adopting locally. Here are some of the faces we have helped from the community this year. Neonates
At PMRT we are proud of the work we do in caring for neonates. We have a dedicated team of transporters, and foster parents that work around the clock caring for fragile puppies that come to us with cleft palates, hydrocephalus, and a number of other conditions that limit their ability to thrive without intervention. When we get a call of a baby in need our transporters jump into action to deliver that pup to a qualified foster home, sometimes hundreds of miles away. We have a stock of medical supplies, including incubators and oxygen concentrators to give the animals in our care the best chance.
