Lavender is one of my favorite oils. I use it for everything it seems. Did you know that lavender is steam distilled from the flower portion of the plant and it takes 27 square feet to make one 15 ml bottle of lavender oil?

Lavender is also considered the Jack knife of oils due to its versatility. The best thing about lavender is how pet friendly it is. I use this oil to calm my dogs when they can't settle down, when there are fireworks or loud noises or if they are nervous going to a vet, it is awesome!

Not all oils are the same, some are what one calls perfumed water-the remains of what is left over in the process of making it. No more then scented water. This is the lowest quality and is typically what can be found in stores. The highest quality is the therapeutic oil which is 100% oil and is the ones i use for my pets.

Starting to play and growl - almost 3 weeks old

With 4th of July coming up I know my pets get a little nervous with all the loud noises so I like to diffuse safe oils all day . I diffuse Young Livings Lavender, Stress Away, and their pet specific oil T-Away. About an hour from when fireworks typically get set off I apply these same oils to the nape of my pets neck as well. Note: I only feel safe using Young Living Oils, I Always give my pets an option to stay in the room or leave the room I diffuse in, and I add a carrier oil to dilute the strength if my dogs are not used to the oils.
