I think this everyday.

Yesterday was a huge reminder of the amazing people in our lives because of horses.

All our amazing boarders that were our helped get things cleaned up and flowing better.

Judy Wright was busy in the barn, sweeping and shoveling p**p.

David Beriault helped with getting the frost off the door and it closing better, trenching water away from the arena (we had a little flood again from the roof), and washing the barn floor.

Gary grabbed the pick ax and went to work on the ice so we get get our trench flowing better. He may have been worried I might hurt myself our on of the innocent bystanders with it.

Huge thank you everyone. It was a wonderful day!

Every time I am in the arena I look around and love how beautiful it looks thanks to Walt. He put up the wall tin in December and January when he had some free time to come over. I can’t get over how finished it looks it is so much brighter. Once he was finished with the tin he decided that my travel panel box stalls should be upgraded to the box stalls we had bought for the barn. They had to be customized to fit in properly. Walt cut the one apart to make it fit and then used some of that one to finish the side that wasn’t quit long enough for the space.

I know it has been a while since you were done and I am sorry for not posting sooner, but huge thank you Walt. We are so happy with how it looks.

I got to take one today and I loved it. I love the homework and I feel like I have a lot of wonderful things to work on. Most of all me and my posture.

I have a lot of people inquiring about clinics. I reached out to a couple of different Alberta clinicians and just couldn’t make it work.

So we would like to offer this one day clinic with Coulter Gould, we have known him for over a year now. He has rode and trained under some amazing clinitions.

He had an amazing eye and a ton of knowledge to help tweak your runs.

Would make an awesome Christmas present as well.

We would like to have a clinic over Christmas holidays.

David Beriault was helping me pick big rocks out of the sand in the yard. “everybody needs a Dave❤️.”

Tanya also helped a bit with a quick visit.

My number one helper!!!!

Well maybe companion would be more accurate. Doesn’t matter if we are hauling sand for the arenas or gravel for the yard she’s in the truck with me. She also has been in the tractor every day while we are spreading manure there has been a lot of days of spreading should have let Darren spend more money on a bigger spreader. (What do they say about hindsight lol)

Love the detailed explanation!

Please look at the circle on the lower right. Inside it is an eight sided series of straight lines, an octagon. Most riders who believe they are riding a circle are actually riding a polygon like this series of straight lines in the circle. This is because they do not bend their horses. They either don't know how or they lack the core and leg strength to do it correctly, or both.

Bending your horse and holding a bend happens when a rider applies physical strength at the center where the red arrow in the top image is pointing. Additionally, the rider holds their horse between the forehand with the inside hand and rein, and the hind with the outside leg slightly behind the girth.

The point of the red arrow acts like the point on a compass drawing the circle. The inside leg is the compass point at the red arrow defining the center of the arc of the bend. The right hand in the top picture is like the inside rein, and the rider's left leg acts like the pictured left hand. The rider in the picture holds their horse between the right rein and left leg and the "point of the compass" determines the center of the bend.

The process of riding an entire 20 meter circle in a bend might start as an octagon with many straight lines connected by quick turns. At the beginning an accomplished rider might hold a bend in their horse for the length of two of the straight lines, then three, then four and so on.

When the horse holds the bend longer, it requires more strength and stamina from both the horse and rider. Because of the strength required riders must be patient with the muscle development of their horse. To hold a bend throughout a complete circle is much more difficult than most riders believe.

There is so much negative and controversial stuff on fb. Some highly entertaining, but it’s time to get back to positive and beautiful.

I was on my walk yesterday and was fortunate enough to see both sides of the rainbow.

Whenever I see rainbow and it always makes me think of all the amazing people we have lost in our lives that are watching over us and it brings me comfort and peace.

Feeling fortunate and blessed with having those types of relationships.

We have 3 males and 3 females puppies for sale. They will have their first shots and 2nd vet check, they have had their 1st deworming. Mom and dad are both smaller versions of the breed so we are hoping they will stay smaller like their parents. This is their first litter.
